Southern Charm’s Craig Conover Reacts to Salley Carson’s Crush Reveal

Craig Conover isn’t interested in this intimate charm.

TopMob News has a sneak peek at the latest episode of Southern Charm. In season 11, episode seven, a long-time cast member is setting boundaries with Salley Carson.

In the video, the two actors—who people have been speculating are dating since last February—are seen shopping together, and Salley, age 30, confesses she’s developed feelings for him.

Okay, so this is a little awkward, but I wanted to be honest. We’ve become really close, and honestly, I’ve developed feelings for you. What I’m trying to say is, I like you, and I’d love to explore if there’s something more between us – like, I’m open to dating you.

Stunned by her confession, Craig, 36, admitted, “I just don’t see it. We’re just friends.”

The former Bachelor in Paradise contestant then highlighted some key moments from their growing connection, like when they shared a special bond while relaxing in the hot tub during the fifth episode of the Bravo show in December.

She questioned why they were spending intimate time together, like hanging out in a hot tub until 4 a.m., if he wasn’t interested in a relationship. He admitted he’d initially hoped for something more, thinking “maybe this could go somewhere,” but ultimately it didn’t work out.

Craig, who dated Paige DeSorbo for three years before they split in late 2024, admitted he’d never experienced a situation where someone mistakenly believed he was romantically interested in them when he wasn’t. He shared this in a private interview.

The way he sees it, “Sally is reading into our interactions in a fantasy way.”

But despite his viewpoint of their dynamic, Salley seemed determined to find a spark between them.

She pointed out that he’d only been practicing for three weeks. She insisted she wasn’t imagining things and was completely certain of what she was saying.

Okay, so Craig basically said he doesn’t think he’s giving me any wrong ideas, which… okay, fine. But then he added he’s totally happy just being friends! Like, seriously? Just friends?! It’s like he’s trying to let me down gently, and honestly, it’s just… frustrating. He doesn’t think he’s leading me on, but that feels like leading me on to friendship, and I want more! I just… I don’t get it. He’s so oblivious!

Okay, so I’m seeing a lot of shifts happening with Austen and Audrey. They’ve been together for almost two years, but he’s starting to question if it’s a long-term fit – a big sign is that he recently adopted two cats all by himself, which often signals someone is building a life independent of a partner.
