It appears that “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” could be Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming blockbuster following the storyline of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. After the events that unfolded, “Brand New Day” represents a new beginning for Tom Holland’s character, Peter Parker.

In the movie “No Way Home”, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon will once again take on their characters MJ Jones-Watson and Ned Leeds respectively. By the end of that film, a spell by Doctor Strange caused MJ, Ned, and everyone else to forget about Spider-Man’s true identity. Despite Peter’s pledge to locate his friends and disclose his Spider-Man secret, he chose not to pursue this chance in the storyline that followed.

In the upcoming Brand New Day, we see Mark Ruffalo reprising his Marvel Cinematic Universe role as both Bruce Banner and The Hulk, while Michael Mando takes on the character of Mac Gargan, more famously known as the Scorpion.

It’s rumored that Sadie Sink, known for her role in Stranger Things, may portray Gwen Stacy in an unspecified capacity. Similarly, Liza Colón-Zayas from The Bear is reported to be cast in a hidden role as well. However, the specifics of their roles have not been disclosed yet.

Discussing Stranger Things, it’s been buzzed that Joe Keery, who acts alongside Millie Bobby Brown (Sink), could be taking on the role of Norman Osborn in an upcoming project. Contrary to Millie, there have been no sightings of Joe on set yet.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi, is set to guide Spider-Man 4. The screenplay for this film comes from the creative minds of Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal will be the producers for this highly anticipated production.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in theaters on July 31, 2026.
