Fans hoping to see the first trailers for Marvel’s upcoming movies at the Super Bowl might be disappointed. According to Deadline, Disney is choosing to showcase trailers for Pixar’s Hoppers, The Mandalorian & Grogu, and Toy Story 5 instead, meaning Marvel’s 2026 films won’t be featured during the game.
For a while, people have been speculating that Marvel might debut a trailer for one of its new movies during the Super Bowl’s popular commercial slots. Past Super Bowls have seen big Marvel trailer drops, like the record-breaking one for Deadpool & Wolverine. But recent reports suggest we won’t see any Marvel Cinematic Universe trailers during the game this year.
It appears the plan for promoting Avengers: Doomsday – releasing short teasers during the holidays and a full trailer at the Super Bowl – didn’t happen. We’re seeing a similar situation with Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man movie. With Spider-Man: Brand New Day scheduled to come out on July 31, 2026, many expected a trailer to be released very soon. However, an official trailer hasn’t been released yet, and fans are getting impatient, leading to several fake trailers created using AI being mistaken for the real thing online.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Could Still Get a Surprise Trailer Drop

Sony Pictures Releasing
Okay, so it’s a bummer we probably won’t get a trailer for Avengers: Doomsday anytime soon. But honestly, I’m trying not to panic too much. I remember when the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps dropped last year, and it felt like ages before anything new came out for that one too. So, maybe things aren’t completely hopeless for Spider-Man: Brand New Day after all. I’m still holding out hope!
Last year, fans thought the first trailer for The Fantastic Four would debut during the Super Bowl. However, the 97-second trailer actually came out on February 4th, just before the game. Interestingly, The Fantastic Four was released on July 25th, a date very similar to the planned release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day this year. This has led to speculation that Marvel might skip a Super Bowl trailer this year, and instead surprise fans with the Brand New Day trailer in the next few days.

Predicting exactly when trailers will be released is always tricky. However, there’s been a growing number of reports suggesting the Brand New Day trailer is finished and ready to go. This usually means a release is coming soon, and Marvel Studios will likely want to share a first look quickly. They typically release at least two full trailers before a movie comes out in July, so they need time to do that.
