It’s been nearly a year since the last Marvel film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, came out. This long wait has made fans even more eager for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. What Is Spider-Man: Brand New Day About?
The comic series Spider-Man: Brand New Day begins after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Everyone – including the Avengers – has forgotten Peter Parker is Spider-Man, and his friends don’t remember their history with him. Now that Aunt May has passed away, Peter feels incredibly isolated as he tries to juggle being a superhero with reconnecting with MJ and Ned.
The comic series Spider-Man: Brand New Day begins with Peter Parker getting a fresh start. Now fully dedicated to fighting crime as Spider-Man in a world that’s forgotten his identity, and struggling with the fact that his friends are moving on with their lives, Peter is changing in ways he can’t predict. This transformation might be the only way to defeat a dangerous new enemy threatening the city and everyone he cares about – an incredibly powerful villain who remains unseen. Though the world has moved on from Peter Parker, he still remembers them.
Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, alongside Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. The film also features appearances by Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk. Destin Daniel Cretton directed the movie, based on a script by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Justin Kuritzkes.
You can now buy tickets to see Spider-Man: Brand New Day! The movie comes out in theaters on July 31st, but Amazon is offering early showings starting July 29th.
