The second trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to arrive in a couple of weeks, but audio from it may have already appeared online. With the rise of AI-generated content, it’s hard to be sure what’s real, especially since creating small parts of a video or audio clip is easier than putting it all together seamlessly. Because of this, we should be cautious about anything labeled as a “leak” online – we’ve seen plenty of fake artwork and character designs presented as genuine leaks in the past.
Despite everything, the audio in the trailer sounds believable. It has the expected static you’d hear from a recording of a computer screen, but the music, dialogue, and sound effects themselves seem genuine.
You can listen to the audio yourself here. If it’s removed, that will strongly suggest whether or not it was authentic.
If the audio is genuine, the trailer doesn’t reveal much detail, even with Peter Parker doing a lot of the voiceover. We hear a brief clip from Sadie Sink’s character (who hasn’t been officially confirmed), the Punisher teasing Spider-Man, and several roars from the Hulk – including a claim that this version of the character will be the biggest yet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The trailer also establishes that Spider-Man’s mutation – and his attempt to reverse it – will be the central focus of the story.
A key moment in the trailer shows a revised conversation between Banner and Peter, where they talk about changing, or ‘editing,’ their genetic mutations. (We got the transcript from Spidey Source.)
- Peter: Dr. Banner, you figured out a way to suppress mutating DNA right?
- Banner: If you see me without this, run! (referring to his hulk dampening device)
- Peter: Theoretically, could you get rid of the bad aspects, but keep the good?
- Banner: How would you decide what parts of nature are good or bad.
This scene highlights the core problem for Peter Parker: he needs to control the negative side effects of his powers without losing what makes him Spider-Man. The conversation also strongly suggests that if the device keeping the Hulk contained were to fail, the Hulk would immediately become dangerous. Considering other parts of the trailer and photos of Banner being carried away on a stretcher, that line seems to be foreshadowing future events and hinting at what’s to come.

This storyline is crucial for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically the introduction of mutants and how the world will respond to them – both positively and negatively. If rumors are true and Anya Taylor-Joy is playing Jean Grey, her character’s potential backstory – being imprisoned, experimented on, and mistreated – adds a particularly powerful layer to the story.
The second trailer was originally expected to come out on June 17th. Now that it’s leaked, it’ll be interesting to see if Sony releases it sooner.
This is a developing story… and will be updated as we learn more.
