Okay, as a huge Marvel fan, I was SO excited when the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer finally dropped! We’d seen little bits and pieces online, but seeing the full trailer was amazing – it seriously blew up the internet and got everyone talking. It actually became the most-viewed trailer ever, which is incredible! Now, the big question is, will it stay on top when the next big trailer comes out? I’m really hoping so!
The trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day quickly became a massive hit, racking up over 700 million views in just 24 hours (according to Analytics Insight). This breaks the previous record of 475 million views held by the GTA 6 trailer. While Brand New Day currently holds the record, the upcoming trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is expected to challenge it and potentially become the new leader.
Avengers: Doomsday Seems Poised For The Number 1 Spot

The trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is fantastic, and it’s even more remarkable considering it was leaked online beforehand. Plus, the studio shared short clips of the trailer on social media as part of their marketing. Despite all of that, the full trailer still racked up an incredible 700 million views in just one day, suggesting another Marvel Cinematic Universe film might achieve similar success using the same strategy.
The team behind Doomsday – the Russo Brothers and Marvel Studios – tried some innovative marketing strategies. One example was the memorable live stream featuring empty chairs, which revealed the movie’s cast. They also released four short trailers in cinemas, each focusing on different characters and scenes from the film, including the highly anticipated return of Steve Rogers.
The initial looks at the chairs were surprisingly popular and sparked a lot of conversation. While the first short trailer didn’t appeal to everyone, it still successfully got people discussing the movie. Now that the full trailer is here, Marvel will likely use a similar strategy on social media to build excitement among fans for the release.
Currently, I believe the film can easily surpass $700 million, but a strong marketing push the day before release would guarantee it. While its final numbers are uncertain, it seems highly likely that Doomsday will become the most-viewed film, even if only by a small amount.
Avengers: Doomsday releases in theaters on December 18, 2026.
