Spider-Man, Voltron, and Transformers Lead This Week’s Biggest Collectible Auctions

Several important collections are being auctioned this week, offering a fantastic opportunity for collectors of classic comics, rare trading cards, and iconic toys. If you love franchises like Transformers, Toy Story, Voltron, and Spider-Man, you’ll find plenty to get excited about in these auctions.

Voltron Steps Into The Spotlight

As a collector myself, I was really intrigued by what’s currently up for grabs at Heritage Auctions – a whole bunch of classic Voltron action figures! Surprisingly, it’s not one of the heroic lions leading the bidding war, but the villainous Prince Lotor. This figure is in fantastic condition – graded at 78.3 out of a possible 75+ – and still in its original, remarkably well-preserved packaging. With the current bid at $360 and only one day left on the auction, it’s a great piece for any serious Voltron fan, but you’ll need to act fast if you want to win it!

The auction isn’t limited to action figures; the impressive Castle of Lions playset is also available. This castle conveniently folds up into a carrying case, and you can detach the turrets to reveal a handle. Inside, you’ll find lots of fun features, like an elevator for figures, King Alfor’s tomb, a Command Center, the key to unlock Voltron’s power, a place to store ammo, and a landing pad for the Voltron Lions.

The Voltron: Defenders of the Universe Castle of Lions collectible is in excellent condition, graded 78.5 out of 100 (with a Q75+ rating). Bidding is currently at $1,250, but the auction ends tomorrow, so don’t miss your chance to own it!

Transformers’ Number 1 Villain

Let’s look at another item in the toys and collectibles category: a classic Transformers G1 Megatron. This figure transforms from a Walther P38 pistol into a robot, and comes with accessories like a stock, silencer, and scope. It also features a heat-sensitive rubsign, a detail popular with collectors.

This Megatron figure is in near-mint condition, graded AFA 85. The box has been opened, but everything originally included with the figure is still there. Bidding is currently at $3,500, and the auction will close in one day.

Batman and Toy Story Trading Cards Shouldn’t Be Missed

Let’s look at the Trading Cards now, starting with a complete set of 1966 Topps Batman cards. This 55-card set features the iconic Black Bat logo and is based on the classic 1966 live-action Batman series starring Adam West and Burt Ward. The cards showcase exciting artwork of characters from the show, both heroes and villains, as you can see in the image.

This set includes popular Batman villains like The Joker, Riddler, and The Penguin. While most of the designs are based on the show, Catwoman and The Joker have appearances closer to their comic book versions. The figures are in excellent, near-mint condition and the current highest bid is $310. The auction will close in 6 days.

Our upcoming auction features a rare Disney trading card. We’re offering a limited-edition “Golden Duos Autographs Black Insert” from the 2025 Topps Pixar set. This special card includes authentic signatures from Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, along with images of their iconic Toy Story characters, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, and comes professionally encased.

This Black parallel insert card is number 6 out of a limited edition of 10, and it’s currently being auctioned for $3,600. The auction will close in 6 days. It’s a 2025 Topps Pixar Gold Golden Duos Autographs card.

Amazing Spider-Man Collectors Have Two Classic First Appearances To Choose From

As a big Spider-Man fan, I was excited to see some really early issues of The Amazing Spider-Man hitting the auction block. There are a lot of important comics up for grabs, but I want to talk about two in particular – they both happen to mark the very first time we see some major Marvel characters!

A highly sought-after comic book is The Amazing Spider-Man #14 from 1964. Collectors prize it because it features the first appearance of Green Goblin, Spider-Man’s most famous enemy. It also marks the first time Spider-Man and the Hulk meet! Currently, the comic has a CGC grade of FN+ 6.5 and is being bid on for $1,650. The auction will close in 12 days.

Let’s examine issue #50 of The Amazing Spider-Man. It’s famous for its striking cover art by John Romita Sr., and it’s particularly valuable because it marks the first appearance of The Kingpin. Currently, a copy graded VF+ 8.5 is being auctioned with a high bid of $1,850. If you’re interested, the auction closes in 12 days.
