Be warned, this article contains spoilers from the *Spy x Family* manga! The anime adaptation of *Spy x Family* recently finished revealing Loid’s difficult past – his childhood as an orphan and how he became a skilled soldier and top spy for Westalis. The story will now shift focus to Yor Forger and a surprising new friendship she’s developing with a powerful politician. While Operation Strix will continue to move forward, Loid is still far from reaching his target, Donovan Desmond. The manga, however, is much further along than the anime, and has already begun to reveal the secrets behind Donovan Desmond’s mysterious abilities.
The series has been hinting at a character’s abilities for months, and the full story is gradually being revealed. We’re also starting to learn about Anya’s difficult past, including the possibility that her mother passed away before she went to live in an orphanage. The manga is released every two weeks, and fans are eager to follow the ongoing story. After a brief, unexpected break, the creator, Tatsuya Endo, returned to social media to update fans on the release schedule and apologize for the delay.
Spy x Family Creator Announces Manga’s Return Date and New Projects
The latest update wasn’t included this week, but the next one is scheduled for November 10th. We apologize for the delay. It’s difficult to not be able to update while the anime and musical are generating excitement, but we appreciate your understanding.

The creator posted on X (formerly Twitter) with an image of their character, Franky, looking worn out. They announced the next update will be on November 10th, apologizing for the delay. They explained it’s been difficult to work on updates with the anime and musical also being released, and thanked fans for their patience.
Fans in the Eastern Time Zone can expect Chapter 124 of the manga on November 9th. The author also announced they’re extending the free access to all episodes until November 26th (November 25th ET) as a way to make up for any delays.
I just read a really encouraging update. They announced a daily character popularity poll, and it sounds like they’ll be creating new artwork for the most popular characters! They’re hoping people will revisit the series and vote, and they expressed their gratitude for all the support so far.
The author didn’t officially state the reason, but the recent break in *Spy x Family* releases is probably due to a busy workload – something many manga artists experience. Chapter 123 came out in two parts, with the final part published on September 28, 2025. Chapter 124 was originally planned for October 12th, but instead, a special Halloween illustration promoting the anime’s new season was released. The manga will be back on its regular schedule after November 9th, continuing to follow Anya’s adventures as she starts a new semester at Eden Academy.
