Square Enix RPG Free for a Limited Time

Square Enix is offering a free copy of their cyberpunk RPG, originally released 10 years ago, to Amazon Prime members for a limited time. While it’s an older game, it’s the newest entry in a highly-regarded RPG series that began in 2000 and is considered a classic in both gaming and cyberpunk fiction. This free offer is only available through Prime Gaming and is limited to the PC version of the game. Unfortunately, PlayStation and Xbox players won’t be able to redeem a free code.

If you meet the qualifications, you can get Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for free from Square Enix and Eidos Montreal until February 2nd. That gives RPG fans 16 days to grab the PC game – normally $29.99 – at no cost. The best part? Once you claim it, the game is yours to keep forever, and you don’t need an ongoing subscription like with Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus to keep playing.

One of 2026’s Best RPGs

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the fourth installment in the Deus Ex series, continuing the story of 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which relaunched the cyberpunk franchise. While it received a good score of 83 on Metacritic, it didn’t quite reach the 90 earned by Human Revolution. Despite selling several million copies and being nominated for Best Role-Playing Game at The Game Awards, a sequel has never been released, and the reason remains unclear.

If you’re trying out this free Square Enix game, plan to spend around 30 hours to finish the main story. If you enjoy completing everything, it’ll take closer to 50 hours. Though the series isn’t currently being developed, this game is still worth playing, particularly if you’re a fan of cyberpunk stories.
