STALKER 2 Teases CNPP Expansion For 2026

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world, released in 2024 by the Ukrainian developer GSC Game World. While the game initially had some performance problems, the studio has continued to improve it with updates and new content. They recently shared a captivating preview of what’s coming in 2026.

The recent teaser from GSC doesn’t reveal much, but as the mist clears, you can see the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Accompanied by the message “Something to look forward to in 2026,” it suggests a significant story expansion is coming, allowing players to explore the center of Chornobyl as stalkers.

STALKER 2 Teaser Video Reveals Upcoming DLC Location

The short preview video only showed the entrance to the Nuclear Powerplant, but GSC Game World has shared an update with fans. They announced that the first story-based downloadable content is progressing well, and they’re also upgrading the game to a newer version of Unreal Engine 5. This upgrade aims to improve stability and enhance the game’s visuals in the Zone.

STALKER 2 is now available on PlayStation 5, a major achievement for the developers at GSC Game World, bringing their game to more players and letting PlayStation gamers join the experience.

As the fog settles, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant becomes visible in the background

Only a month after the PlayStation 5 came out, the game received a big update called ‘Stories Untold’ adding more than five hours of new gameplay. In this update, players explore strange radio signals that cause characters to experience nosebleeds, headaches, and see things that aren’t there.

The Stories Untold update adds a lot of new content to the game, including eight missions, seven locations to explore, six new characters, three unique items, and a special version of the GP37 rifle.
