A new poster has been released for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, showcasing the next generation of Starfleet heroes. The series premieres with two episodes on January 15, 2026, streaming on Paramount+. Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau are executive producers.
Holly Hunter, an Academy Award winner, stars in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Paul Giamatti, who has been nominated for an Academy Award, will play a villain during the first season. The series will also feature familiar faces from previous Star Trek shows, including Robert Picardo reprising his role as The Doctor from Star Trek: Voyager.
Just before Paramount+’s presentation at CCXP in Brazil, a new poster was revealed for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The poster shows the six main characters – young cadets relaxing on the grounds of Starfleet Academy in San Francisco. You can see the poster below.
The new poster for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy showcases the cast, including Karim Diané as Jay-Den Kraag, Zoë Steiner as Tarima Sadal, Sandro Rosta as Caleb Mir, Bella Shepard as Genesis Lythe, George Hawkins as Darem Reymi, and Kerrice Brooks as SAM.
Set in the 32nd century, after the events of Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy follows the very first group of students to train on Earth in over a hundred years. These cadets attend classes and live aboard the USS Athena, a starship which also serves as the Academy’s campus in San Francisco.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy brings a fresh, energetic feel to the long-running Star Trek series. While Starfleet Academy has appeared in past Star Trek shows and films, this new series on Paramount+ is specifically designed for teens and young adults, with the goal of attracting a new generation of fans.
The new series, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, arrives on Paramount+ in January with a stellar cast, including award-winning movie stars and familiar faces from the original Star Trek. However, the story truly centers around the adventures of the academy’s young cadets.
