PLAION is partnering with Secret Mode to bring a physical version of the new Star Wars: Galactic Racer game to players worldwide. PLAION will handle everything related to the physical release, such as getting it made, shipped, and sold in stores.
Secret Mode is excited to partner with Plaion for the physical distribution of their new game, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, aiming for a successful global launch. Alison Fraser, Secret Mode’s commercial director, stated they are confident in Plaion’s skills and look forward to bringing this fast-paced racing game to fans old and new.
PLAION Partners CEO Craig McNicol expressed excitement about working with Secret Mode to release Star Wars: Galactic Racer as a physical copy worldwide. He highlighted that this deal demonstrates PLAION’s strong relationships with retailers, the skills of their global teams, and their experience in distributing physical games. PLAION is dedicated to providing high-quality products to gamers and anticipates a successful launch.
This pretty much confirms that Star Wars: Galactic Racer will get a physical release, but we don’t yet know if there will be special, more expensive versions or if the regular copies will include any extra items.
PLAION frequently handles physical game releases. They announced back in August 2025 a collaboration with Pearl Abyss to publish a physical version of the upcoming open-world action game, Crimson Desert.
The racing game Star Wars: Galactic Racer was revealed in December and is being developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. While a trailer has been released, it didn’t show much of the actual gameplay. The game is being created by Fuse Games, a studio with a strong background in racing games – many of its developers previously worked on the popular Burnout and Need for Speed series.
A new trailer in February showcased the fast-paced and exciting racing gameplay. The game’s story centers around competing in an illegal racing league called the Galactic League, located in the Outer Rim. When the game begins, Kestar Bool controls the league, using his criminal connections and unfair tactics. Players will take on the role of a racer named Shade and challenge Bool throughout the game’s story.
Kieran Crimmins, the creative director of Star Wars: Galactic Racer, discussed the game’s features, emphasizing that the team wanted crashes to be as satisfying and visually impressive as those in the classic Burnout series.
Studio CEO Matt Webster recently stated that Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be a complete package at launch and won’t have any additional downloadable content released as a season pass. He explained that the game includes a full campaign, arcade mode, and multiplayer, making it a standalone experience.
