Overlooked among recent game releases and announcements, today marks the second anniversary of Bethesda Game Studios’ much-anticipated title, Starfield. Post the underwhelming debut of Shattered Space, enthusiasm has been fairly muted. Nevertheless, a fresh story expansion is in the works, and it might introduce a new Earth-centric faction.
In a recent Instagram post, Bethesda subtly hinted at the phrase “Terran Armada” following their anniversary message, without revealing any specific details. However, it’s speculated that an announcement regarding new game systems and some small surprises could be made in the upcoming months. Tim Lamb, the lead creative producer, mentioned recently that such developments were on the horizon.
A segment of our development team is focusing on enhancing space gameplay to be more enjoyable and engaging, perhaps implying smoother interplanetary travel. Although it’s not yet official, these developments might lead up to a release date reveal for the anticipated PS5 edition. Keep an eye out for updates in the meantime.
Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our review of the launch version.
