Bethesda is investigating why some players are experiencing crashes on the new PlayStation 5 version of Starfield. They plan to release a fix later this week, as announced on Twitter.
Since the game’s release, many players have reported problems with bugs, crashes, and issues with saved games, making it difficult to play. We did notice the graphics weren’t quite as sharp on the console version compared to the PC version, but we didn’t experience any of the bugs or crashes ourselves while playing on the PS5 Pro.
We generally enjoyed the game’s port, and those who’ve played it extensively, like us, have had a good experience. However, looking at the comments on the announcement, there are still a few things Bethesda could address with the upcoming update.
Players have been sharing common issues like bugs and glitches, as well as ideas for improving in-game collectibles. Some have also reported funny situations caused by unpredictable character behavior. There’s also been discussion about whether the game will support enhanced visual features on PlayStation consoles, but the developers haven’t responded to those questions yet.
We’re eager for the quick fix to be released so everyone can fully enjoy this fun space adventure.
We appreciate everyone sharing their weekend stories from around the Settled Systems – it’s been great to read them! We’ve identified and are working to fix some crashes happening on PS5. We’re planning to release a quick update this week to address these issues.
