About
In a game reminiscent of anime, players embark on an action-packed adventure with cooperative multiplayer and roguelike elements titled Starlight Re:Volver. This exciting journey unfolds amidst the bustling futuristic metropolis, Nishi Island Metropolis (NIM), and the ethereal dreamlike realms of So Mi, which power NIM’s economic growth. Equipped with enigmatic devices known as “Re:Volvers,” players assume the role of “Divers” – fearless explorers who leap through the barriers between reality and So Mi in search of uncharted wealth.
In this game, a diverse group of characters such as novice diver Effy, expert diver Akira, easy-going mentor Ren, and tech genius Violet will guide players through NIM’s vibrant city and So Mi’s fantastical realm. The main objective is to find treasures, recognition, and joy while navigating this exciting adventure. Along the way, you’ll delve into the roots of Re:Volvers, but beware – the alluring underwater depths might lead to losing your identity. Embark on an incredible voyage of self-exploration!
Drawing inspiration from the enchanting manga creations of Naoko Takeuchi and Rumiko Takahashi, the Pahdo Labs team’s creation, Starlight Re:Volver, is a heartfelt homage to the animes and video games of the 90s and early 2000s that they cherished in their childhood. The game masterfully blends Japanese ARPG-style combat with aspects of western roguelites, and envelopes it all within a sociable world reminiscent of classic online realms, creating an engaging experience that sparkles with nostalgia.
In Starlight Re:Volver, battles transform into vivid spectacles with its fantastical, highly-stylized combat, and players have the liberty to personalize their characters’ looks and skills, crafting a gameplay style that matches their preference and enhances their team’s cooperative multiplayer experience.
