Like the sun rising and Shohei Ohtani finding himself on base, MLB The Show 26 has been announced.
Just like last year, the San Diego Studio has shown off the game ahead of schedule, but this time they’re doing so with much more confidence.
Fans might remember that MLB The Show 25 was revealed sooner than planned because of complaints about the previous game’s Diamond Dynasty features. This year’s version has generally been better received by players.
Overall, Sony’s recent announcement was pretty unremarkable. They’ve promised to make gameplay more realistic, significantly improve the Road to the Show mode, and enhance the Franchise mode’s management aspects.
There isn’t much concrete information available. However, job postings suggest a version for PC is probably in development.
You’ll also get a head start in Diamond Dynasty! You can begin making progress using Now and Later packs right away.
These packs work just like regular Show Packs, but with a special bonus: opening one in MLB The Show 25 will automatically unlock a free pack when MLB The Show 26 comes out.
These packs will be available starting November 21st as part of the 11th Inning XP Path, and will also be included in a special program launching in early 2026.
So, it’s all good incentive to play MLB The Show 25 now ahead of the new game’s release next year.
