PlayStation’s “State of Play” show is expected to return in February, which is in line with previous years. According to Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb, the show is likely happening the week of February 12th.
According to a report from NateTheHate discussed on the Game Mess Mornings podcast, Jeff Grubb stated the event will happen on February 12th. He clarified, though, that it’s best to consider the week of February 12th as the likely timeframe.
The presentation is scheduled for a Thursday, which is typical, as Sony usually holds these events mid-week. Predicting what will be shown is difficult, but I’m guessing we’ll see Housemarque’s Saros. The game was originally planned for release on March 20th, but was pushed back to April 30th so the developers could make sure it lives up to their expectations.
I’m so excited, they really want to tell us more about this rogue-lite game and how they’re taking full advantage of the PS5’s power! I’m expecting at least a new trailer soon, but honestly, I wouldn’t be shocked if Sony did a whole dedicated State of Play presentation just for this game before it comes out.
With Marvel’s Wolverine slated for release this fall, marketing seems to be starting earlier than it did for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Looking at less certain possibilities, we might finally get some news and PlayStation-exclusive content for Grand Theft Auto 6, which wouldn’t be unusual for Rockstar and Sony. We could also learn more about reports that a physical copy of the game may not be available when it first launches.
