Statham and Ayers reunite

Jason Statham and director David Ayers previously collaborated on two successful action films, “The Beekeeper” and “A Working Man,” which grossed $162 million and $89 million worldwide, respectively. Now, reports indicate they are teaming up again for a new movie currently known as “John Doe.”

Statham and Ayers reunite to make a story about….

Jason Statham stars as a man with amnesia – he has no memories, no history, and doesn’t even know his own name. The only exception is a woman named Eliza, whose face he can’t shake. As his memories slowly return, he realizes he was specially trained for a dangerous mission that’s still underway, and now, the people who sent him are hunting him. With his enemies closing in, he must decide whether to complete the mission or protect Eliza, the one person who gives his life meaning.

The screenplay is by Zak Penn, known for hits like “Ready Player One” and “The Avengers.” Filming is scheduled to begin in September, with a planned release in summer 2027. If the film is successful, Jason Statham and director David Ayer are likely to collaborate on future projects, promising more action-packed scenes.

Since his breakout role in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1997, Jason Statham has consistently worked, releasing roughly one to four films each year. He doesn’t show any signs of slowing down, with The Beekeeper 2 and the final Fast & Furious movie slated for release in 2027 and 2028. Beyond acting, Statham runs his own production company and is married to model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, making him a remarkably busy and successful figure in action cinema.
