Steam is offering a selection of free games where players can compete against each other, focusing on player-versus-player battles. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, why not show your loved one how much you care by teaming up and conquering a game together?
While a romantic evening like a candlelit dinner or beach walk is an option, you could also playfully assert your dominance after winning a competition against them.
Steam Is Celebrating Valentine’s Day In The Best Way Possible
NetEase Games
Okay, so Steam’s doing that Valentine’s Day thing again. Basically, they’re letting us try out over 20 free games, and the fun part is, a lot of them are built for playing with (or, let’s be real, against) your partner. Get ready to test your relationship – in-game, of course!
Games like World of Tanks and World of Tanks: Blitz are highly rated and great for players who enjoy intense, competitive battles. Meanwhile, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover with World of Warships offers a more fun and lighthearted take on the same type of gameplay.
Popular multiplayer games like Dota 2 and Guild Wars 2 remain free to play and are thriving. Newer options such as Arena Breakout: Infinite and The Finals offer team-based arena combat. Given the continued success of ARC Raiders, now is a great time to also try Embark Studio’s earlier game, The Finals.
Looking for a fun way to spend Valentine’s Day? These games are great for couples – whether you want to play together or compete against each other!
Steam Wants You To Remember It Has Some Killer Free Games
Steam is well-known as a leading platform for PC gaming, and it’s always a great place to find free games and deals. With events like ‘Combat PVP,’ running until February 16th, Steam is highlighting some of the top games available on its service.
This includes Overwatch 2, which is free to play and is getting a major update today. The update will revert the game back to just Overwatch and add five new playable characters, a redesigned user interface, and many other improvements.
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really excited about Marvel Rivals! It’s free to play and they’re constantly adding new heroes, so you’re bound to find some you love. Honestly, for me, there’s something incredibly fun about pairing up as Emma Frost and Venom and just completely crushing the competition – talk about a power couple!
If none of the previously mentioned games interest you, the Combat PVP event also includes titles like Dead or Alive 6, Delta Force, Conquerer’s Blade, Once Human, Magic: The Gathering Arena, Throne and Liberty, and Summoners Way, among many others. You’re sure to find something on Steam to enjoy this February.
