A recent job listing suggests that Shift Up is working on making the sequel to Stellar Blade available on multiple platforms. This could mean the original Stellar Blade might also be released on Xbox and Nintendo.
Okay, so everyone’s been talking about Stellar Blade, and for good reason! It came out in 2024 and seriously blew me away with how gorgeous it looked and how fun the combat was. There was some chatter about the main character, Eve, even before the game launched, but it didn’t stop it from being a massive hit with both critics and players like me. It even got nominated for a bunch of awards, especially for its amazing soundtrack! The developers, Shift Up, were clearly thrilled with the response and quickly hinted at more to come – they’re aiming for something new before 2027, which is awesome. And now, we’ve just gotten some exciting news that makes the future of a sequel look really promising!
Stellar Blade 2 Coming to ‘Various Platforms’, Says Shift Up

Shift Up, the studio behind Stellar Blade, is hiring, signaling that work on Stellar Blade 2 is underway. The job postings on their Korean website suggest the sequel will deliver the same exciting action as the first game, but for next-generation consoles and PCs. They’re planning to release Stellar Blade 2 on multiple platforms, going beyond just PlayStation.
Originally, Stellar Blade was only available on PlayStation 5, with a PC version released just recently. Currently, there are no official plans to bring the game to Xbox Series X|S or the new Nintendo Switch 2, although rumors suggest it might happen. Now that Stellar Blade 2 will be released on multiple platforms, fans are hopeful that the first game will also become available on Xbox and Nintendo consoles.
