Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham Make Announcement After Cryptic Posts

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are bringing the band back together—sort of.

Before becoming part of Fleetwood Mac in 1974 (initially performing as Buckingham Nicks), they revealed on August 13 that they plan to release a re-mastered edition of their self-titled album from 1973, scheduled for September.

The YouTube video for “Don’t Let Me Down Again” by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks indicates that their long-awaited 1973 studio album will be released on September 19, with the sound now optimized for its first release on CD and digital platforms.

In July, there were whispers among fans that a collaboration between Stevie (age 77) and Lindsey (also 75) might be imminent. This guesswork was sparked by the fact that they both shared synchronized posts on social media featuring lyrics from the song “Frozen Love”, which appears on their album.

Just moments following Stevie posting the initial lines “And if you go forward” onto her Instagram account, it seemed like Lindsey had shared the concluding part “I’ll meet you there,” also as handwritten by himself.

Besides the mysterious posts, fellow bandmate Mick Fleetwood also contributed his thoughts on the song, expressing his reflections about their unique musical duo.

In a video posted on Instagram, he expressed that Stevie and Lindsey’s marriage joining Fleetwood Mac was like the lyrics of a captivating song. He emphasized that it was as magical back then as it is now, and still gives him a tremendous rush.
