The recent RGG Summit didn’t offer much news about games outside the *Like a Dragon* series, like *Virtua Fighter* and *Stranger Than Heaven*. However, it did close with a cool behind-the-scenes look at *Stranger Than Heaven*, featuring gameplay footage and motion capture. You can watch it below.
The new game, *Stranger Than Heaven*, stars Mako Daito and takes place in Sotenbori, a district inspired by the real-life Dotonbori area of Osaka, across various time periods. Unlike the *Like a Dragon* and *Judgment* series, the combat seems more realistic and brutal, featuring visible blood and gore. The game also aims for a more sophisticated atmosphere, though the full story is still under wraps.
While a specific release date for *Stranger Than Heaven* hasn’t been announced, Sega anticipates both it and *Persona 4 Revival* will be available sometime between April 1st, 2026, and March 31st, 2027. We’ll share more details as they become available.
RGG Studio revealed plans for several new and returning titles. They announced a remake of *Yakuza 3* called *Yakuza Kiwami 3*, and a spin-off game, *Dark Ties*, which features the villain Yoshitaka Mine. Both are scheduled for release on February 12, 2026. Additionally, *Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut*, *Yakuza Kiwami*, and *Yakuza Kiwami 2* will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC starting in December.
