I’m so excited to hear that Sadie Sink, just like Tom Holland, is going to be making her West End debut! She’ll be starring in a production of Romeo and Juliet, and I can’t wait to see her on stage.
Sadie Sink, known for her role in Stranger Things, will play Juliet in a production at the Harold Pinter Theatre next March. She’ll be acting alongside Noah Jupe, who stars in the upcoming film Hamnet, as reported by Deadline.
This production is a return of Robert Icke’s acclaimed adaptation, which originally won an Olivier Award and was last seen in the UK in 2012.
This production of the classic tragedy stood out because of a striking digital clock. Throughout the show, the clock counted down the time until the lovers tragically died at the end.

This production also brings director Robert Icke back to London’s West End, following the success of his acclaimed ‘Oedipus’ which premiered at Wyndham’s Theatre last October with Mark Strong and Leslie Manville in leading roles.
He explained that this play has always been special to him, and he’s thrilled to be directing it in London with two talented young actors.
This play is incredibly dynamic and full of energy. It really makes you think about how precious and fleeting life is, and how important it is to cherish every moment. I’m thrilled to begin working on it.
Sadie Sink is well-known for playing Max Mayfield on Stranger Things, but she’s also a talented stage actress. She recently received a Tony Award nomination for her leading role in John Proctor is the Villain, and while the play is moving to London next year, Sink won’t be part of the new cast. This follows earlier Broadway appearances in productions like Annie and The Audience.
She expressed her excitement about performing in a West End show, something she’s dreamed of since her childhood on Broadway. She’s thrilled to be tackling one of Shakespeare’s most well-known plays, directed by Rob and alongside Noah, calling it a wonderful challenge. She also shared her enthusiasm for the vibrant atmosphere of London theatre and how eager she is to experience it.
Jupe, who currently stars in Chloé Zhao’s film Hamnet with Paul Mescal, is known for his roles in A Quiet Place and Le Mans ‘66. He recently shared his interest in theatre, saying it seems like a uniquely challenging and fulfilling experience for actors.
I was thrilled to learn about this project. With Romeo, Rob, and Sadie all involved, it’s an opportunity that’s too good to pass up.
The play is expected to run from March 16th to June 6th, 2026, but tickets aren’t available yet.
