As a longtime fan, I’m thrilled to hear Millie Bobby Brown is back as Eleven for the final season of Stranger Things. But get ready, folks, because apparently, she’s about to be more powerful than ever before! The Duffer Brothers are wrapping up the story in three parts, releasing in late 2025 – November 26th, December 25th, and December 31st to be exact. The new season jumps ahead a year after the events of season four, and it’s going to be a full-on battle between the remaining Hawkins crew and Vecna, played by Jamie Campbell Bower. From what I’m hearing, Eleven is absolutely central to whether or not they’ll win this time around.

Eleven gained remarkable powers due to the experiments and abuse she suffered as a child at Hawkins Lab under Dr. Martin Brenner. The trailers for Stranger Things season 5 reveal Eleven developing powerful new abilities, including what looks like flight or extremely long jumps. We first saw her jump over a school bus in a summer teaser. The latest trailer, released on October 30th, shows her leaping over a fence that seems to be located in the Upside Down, hinting at a more extensive exploration of that dark dimension in the final season of the show created by the Duffer brothers.
Okay, let’s talk Eleven. We’ve known she’s incredibly powerful for years – telepathy, moving things with her mind, even seeing things from far away. But seeing her actually fly? That’s new, and honestly, a fantastic addition to her abilities. It’s been nine seasons since we first met her, and while her powers always had a bit of a dark side, this takes things to a whole new level. Season 5 is really pushing the boundaries of what Eleven can do, and I’m here for it – it makes her even more of a force to be reckoned with.
Eleven’s New Powers Pay Off An 8 Year Old Stranger Things Tease
We’re used to seeing Eleven use her powers like telepathy and moving objects with her mind, but flying is a new development. This moment actually hints back to the season 2 finale of Stranger Things, which came out on Netflix in October 2017. In that finale, Eleven and Hopper went to Hawkins Lab to close the gate to the Upside Down and stop the Mind Flayer. Eleven used her powers to do this, and the effort caused her to briefly lift off the ground.
Eleven bending the rules of gravity isn’t entirely new to Stranger Things, but the upcoming season 5 will showcase this ability like never before. It’s a fitting climax to Eleven’s journey and how far she’s come. While her levitation in season 2 happened by chance, she’ll be deliberately using this power in season 5 to gain an advantage against Vecna. Although Vecna shares many of Eleven’s powers, he hasn’t demonstrated the ability to levitate or fly, suggesting Eleven has a greater potential.
Stranger Things Season 5 Will Give Eleven Huge Power Upgrades
Eleven’s powers, including her ability to fly, are set to become much stronger in the final season of Stranger Things. Trailers for season 5 show a significant increase in her telekinetic abilities, with one massive energy blast appearing to happen in both the real world and the Upside Down at the same time. As the show wraps up, Eleven will need to perform incredible feats to defeat Vecna and his monsters, and her power may have no limits.
