Warning: Spoilers ahead for Stranger Things season 5 episodes 1-4.
The music is a huge part of what makes Stranger Things so special, and the fifth season’s soundtrack is already living up to expectations.
After the huge success of season four – especially the impact of Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’ and Max’s storyline – the final season of this popular Netflix series has a lot to deliver. Music continues to be a key part of the show as it wraps up its nearly ten-year run.
Throughout the first volume, Kate Bush made a comeback, and Robin (played by Maya Hawke) has been consistently playing songs on her new radio show, Rockin’ Robin.
Get ready to listen to the soundtrack of Stranger Things season 5! Whether you prefer a classic Walkman or a modern streaming service, it’s time to dive in.

Who composed the score for Stranger Things season 5?

Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein created the music for Stranger Things, crafting the show’s distinctive, synth-filled sound, and they also composed the impressive score for season 5.
I was so excited to hear from composer Bear McCreary about the music for season five! He told MusicTech.com that the score will feel familiar to fans of last season, almost like a direct continuation. But he also hinted it will bring back some of the sounds and feelings from the very first seasons, which I think is a brilliant idea!
We constantly look for fresh ways to tackle challenges. When we revisit familiar ideas, our goal is to present them in a new and innovative light.
