Maya’s world has been shattered by The Strangers in the first two films, but now she’s ready to fight back in The Strangers: Chapter 3. Fans have watched Maya suffer through terrifying events, and although things might get even harder, the new trailer shows she won’t go down without taking The Strangers with her. Check out the trailer below.
Madelaine Petsch returns as Maya in this new film, and the trailer immediately shows the terrible things Scarecrow has done to her. While Dollface appears, the story centers on a direct confrontation between Scarecrow and Maya, who is determined to defeat him no matter the cost. Although weapons play a role, the trailer reveals that anything can be used to fight – even a speeding truck.
The third chapter appears to have a more complex backstory, but the trailer suggests it will also be one of the most action-packed installments yet, with plenty of intense violence. It looks like the creators are aiming for a strong finish to the trilogy, and you can see a preview in the trailer above to decide if they’re succeeding.
What You Need To Know To Get Ready For The Strangers: Chapter 3

In The Strangers: Chapter 2, we learned a significant detail about the Strangers: Pin-Up Girl was actually Shelly, the waitress Maya and Ryan encountered before the first movie’s events. Maya ended up killing Shelly, which made Scarecrow and Dollface even more unstable, though they were already close to losing control.
We still don’t know who Scarecrow and Dollface are, but evidence suggests Gregory might be behind the Scarecrow mask. Dollface’s identity is a complete mystery, and Sheriff Rotter seems more suspicious with every appearance. Hopefully, Chapter 3 will reveal the truth about these characters and their connections.
Okay, so as a long-time fan of this series, I’ve always seen Maya as someone trying to avoid the killers, or at least fight back when cornered. But this new trailer threw me for a loop! We see glimpses of her as one of the killers, even actively attacking someone! Honestly, I think that’s probably a misdirection though. There are other shots of her running, fighting against the Strangers with a shotgun, which feels more in line with everything we’ve seen before. The best part is, the finale is almost here, and it looks like we’re finally going to get some answers – maybe not all of them, but a lot!
The Strangers: Chapter 3 hits theaters on February 6th.
