The show began with a quick message from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, and while their recent announcement of leaving the show was acknowledged, it wasn’t discussed much throughout the episode – until the very last performance.
La Voix and her dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec finished the show with a lively salsa to Cher’s song “Strong Enough.” Afterwards, before hearing what the judges thought, La Voix playfully joked with host Tess Daly.
“You’re still here, Tess?” she asked. Tess replied with a laugh, “I am.”
Tess and Claudia shared this week that they’ve decided to leave the show, feeling it’s the right moment for them. They began this week’s episode by expressing their gratitude for the lovely messages they’ve received from fans since announcing their departure.
With eight weeks of competition still ahead and a new champion yet to be crowned, the remaining contestants celebrated Icons Week with their performances.

Throughout the night, couples performed dances set to popular songs from both classic and current artists, including hits by Prince, Ariana Grande, and Cher.
La Voix and Aljaž significantly improved their score on Strictly Come Dancing 2025, earning 28 points – twice as many as their 14 points last week. This put them just above George Clarke and Alexis Warr, who were at the bottom of the leaderboard.
Lewis Cope is currently leading the competition with 34 points. Vicky Pattinson and Amber Davies are close behind with 33 points each. Karen Carney, Ellie Goldstein, and Balvinder Sopal all have 28 points.
Now it’s time for viewers at home to vote! Their votes will be combined with the judges’ scores to decide which couples will compete in the dance-off during Sunday’s results show.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One and iPlayer on Sunday 26th October at 7:15pm.
