Strictly star would be interested in Celebrity Traitors season 2 – and already has an upper hand

The reality show The Traitors has become incredibly popular, so it’s not surprising many celebrities are eager to compete and see if they can outwit the others.

Celebrity JB Gill has expressed interest in being on the show, revealing he actually played the game while touring last year and enjoyed it.

When asked about returning for another season of the celebrity show, the singer playfully replied, “You never know!”

You know, when we were on the Strictly tour, we started playing a game backstage that was a lot like ‘The Traitors’! It was really fun, actually. I was totally new to the show at the time, so it was a great way to learn how it all works – a bit of a trial by fire, really!

“I think it’s a brilliant show and as I say, I’m looking forward to seeing how it will unfold.”

While a second season of Celebrity Traitors hasn’t been officially announced, the show’s producers are still hoping it will happen.

We’d be thrilled if Bob Mortimer wanted to return next year, according to executive producer Sarah Fay.

Fay also mentioned that Courteney Cox was considered for the role and widely discussed in the media. She explained that choosing the right person wasn’t simply about wanting a particular actor, but involved many other factors.

Many people expressed interest, but they were already busy with other projects, according to executive producer Mike Cotton.

The BBC show The Traitors has become a massive hit, launching with over 11.7 million viewers for its first episode and continuing to gain popularity.

The BBC announced that 2.2 million viewers aged 16-34 watched the latest episode, setting a new record for the show. This makes it the most popular unscripted program in the UK since 2022.

The season’s final episode is next week, and everyone will be watching to see if the Traitors can pull off their deception or if the Faithful will work together to claim the prize.

The Celebrity Traitors continues on Wednesday 29th October at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
