The popular arcade racing game Horizon Chase Turbo, originally released on PlayStation 4, is being removed from sale due to recent layoffs at Epic Games.
It’s unclear exactly why, but the popular game will no longer be available for download starting June 1st, according to a post on its official social media.
We’re reaching out to the developer for a clearer explanation. It’s currently unclear if people who already own the game will still have access to it, so we’re hoping the original announcement was just phrased confusingly.
For the record, this doesn’t affect sequel Horizon Chase 2, which is available on PS5 and PS4.
It’s likely that the removal of the game will also affect its downloadable content, such as the highly-rated pack inspired by Ayrton Senna.
We’re working to clarify this situation and will share more details as soon as possible. Currently, it appears that only Horizon Chase 2 will continue to be offered on the PlayStation Store.
