Summer House’s Ciara Miller Joins Love Island Aftersun as Cohost

Ciara Miller is swapping The Hamptons for Fiji.

Summer House star Austen Kroll will be cohosting Aftersun, the companion show for Love Island USA, Peacock announced on May 11th at the NBCUniversal 2026 Upfronts.

Ciara will team up with online personality Tefi Pessoa to break down the most memorable moments from season eight, launching June 2nd on Peacock. Plus, Ariana Madix is coming back to host the reality dating show.

Originally, Maura Higgins hosted Aftersun, but she’s now competing on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars. Sophie Monk, who hosts Love Island Australia, then took over as host of Aftersun for its seventh season.

Ciara is starting a new job shortly after the drama surrounding the love triangle on Summer House became public. The situation involved her ex-boyfriend, West Wilson, and her former best friend, Amanda Batula, who revealed in March that they are now dating.

Following the surprising news about her relationship, Ciara received encouragement from several of her fellow reality TV stars. Ariana, who previously dealt with a similar public controversy on Bravo, offered particularly helpful advice.

Ariana recently told TopMob News that she hopes her new coworker always remembers her own strength and to embrace the present. She added, ‘She deserves all the good things coming her way.’

Ariana is excited to welcome Ciara to Fiji and will be cheering her on as she competes for the Mirrorball Trophy on Dancing with the Stars.

As the Vanderpump Rules alum added, “I have to get my butt in the ballroom!”

Ciara is experiencing a lot of professional success right now, but she’s still working through the emotional fallout from a painful betrayal by people she used to consider friends and colleagues.

Ciara recently told Glamour that dealing with heartbreak is hard enough privately, but having it play out publicly adds another level of difficulty. Seeing her former life continue on television in season 10 of a show was particularly jarring, and she described it as incredibly disorienting.

Viewers will watch Ciara finally address the drama with Amanda and West during the upcoming Summer House season 10 reunion. However, it seems Ciara still has a long way to go before she can forgive Amanda.

Ultimately, people will be people,” Ciara said. “Regardless of what’s happening with me and West, you can’t always predict what someone will do. What really surprised me, though, was Amanda. I thought she was a close friend and supporter for a long time, so that’s the most shocking part of all.”

As everyone anticipates Ciara’s arrival on the show, here’s a breakdown of all the drama surrounding the love triangle on Summer House.

Ciara Miller and West Wilson found love on the set of Summer House season eight in 2023, and their connection continued off-screen as well.

However, their romance wouldn’t last long, with the costars breaking up at the end of that year.

Their difficult breakup created tension at the summer house for the next two years, as Ciara wrestled with whether to forgive the sports reporter for hurting her and potentially try to rebuild their relationship.

After a rocky four-year marriage filled with challenges, Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke have decided to separate, just before the tenth season of their Bravo series airs in 2026.

The couple announced on Instagram on January 19th that they have decided to separate. They stated it was a mutual and friendly decision, and they asked for privacy and support as they both move forward and focus on themselves.

Amanda and Kyle, married since September 2021, shared that while they’ve always been open about their relationship, they’re asking for privacy now as they move forward. They appreciate kindness and respect during this time.

The show gave viewers an intimate look at the couple’s struggles as their relationship fell apart.

Rumors started circulating quickly about a possible romance between Amanda and West after the gossip blog Deuxmoi reported on March 5th that the two actors were seen behaving flirtatiously in New York City.

Addressing rumors, West dismissed the speculation during a March 24th appearance on Watch What Happens Live. He explained that she was recently single and that he was simply showing her around New York, as he has done for others she’s dated. He stated, “She’s single now and it happened already to other people she’s hung out with. We were just hanging out in New York. She’s single now, I gotta show her the streets a little.”

The journalist explained, ‘She’s a close friend – someone I really care about a lot.’

After news spread about a possible relationship between West and Amanda, some of their colleagues spoke out about the rumors.

On March 29th, Carl Radke posted a confused-looking photo to his Instagram Stories. Lindsay Hubbard and KJ Dillard followed suit, sharing similar expressions of confusion on their own social media accounts.

Austen Kroll, a fellow reality TV star and friend to several members of the Summer House cast, weighed in on the drama. He posted on his Instagram Stories on March 29th, jokingly stating that enjoying pasta and dating your friends’ exes are apparently trendy again.

Amanda and West publicly confirmed the rumors were true in a joint statement posted on Instagram on March 31st.

We never meant to keep our relationship a secret,” a message posted to their Instagram Stories explained. “Because things were complicated, and being on a reality show means everyone’s watching, we needed some time to figure things out privately before talking about it.

We understand this situation has only affected us and we never intended to cause anyone pain or seem irresponsible. We’re grateful for your understanding and respect as we work through this.

Just as West and Amanda revealed they were dating, Ciara was seen in New York City with a friend who was offering her support. She also started getting messages of encouragement from friends and fellow reality stars on social media, as people began choosing sides in the drama surrounding the new relationship.

As a longtime follower, I couldn’t help but notice Kyle Cooke seemed to be playfully referencing all the recent drama. He posted a selfie with Ciara on Instagram on March 30th, and it definitely felt like a little dig considering everything going on with him and Amanda.

Paige DeSorbo, known from Summer House, showed Ciara some love with a sweet comment on Instagram, simply writing, “Ur perfect.” Lindsay Hubbard and Dara Levitan, who joined the show this season, also expressed their support for Ciara, with Lindsay calling her “Perfection” and Dara adding, “And that’s how you do it.”

Two days after Amanda and West went public, Kyle slammed his former friend for moving in on his ex.

He told journalist Adam Glyn in a TikTok video posted in April that he felt deeply betrayed. “He just completely ended our friendship,” he said. “I thought we had a ‘bro code’ – what happened to that?”

Kyle also insinuated West’s intentions were calculated.

He told Adam that West is skilled at understanding his audience and knows exactly how to appeal to women. People are celebrating what they see as West’s positive change, but he was definitely being calculated in his approach.”

Ciara’s longtime BFF Paige DeSorbo made it clear whose side she’s on amid the fallout.

We’re truly there for Ciara, as a real friend should be. We’ve been talking to her and offering support,” said a Summer House cast member on the April 3rd episode of their Giggly Squad podcast. “We completely support her, and we would never try to profit from something so personal and painful.

Paige went on to share “the final thing” she was going to say about the situation.

Paige described Ciara as a strong, smart, and capable woman. She explained that Ciara will share her thoughts and feelings when she’s ready, and Paige wouldn’t presume to speak for her.

After waiting a week to process things, Ciara finally spoke up and briefly shared how she was doing.

Ciara, at the premiere of Euphoria season three on April 7th, told Entertainment Tonight she’s doing very well despite the recent, highly publicized romance between Amanda and West.

Ciara showed she wasn’t bothered by the recent connection between Amanda and West, playfully dismissing their romance while hosting the red carpet event for the premiere of HBO Max’s Euphoria season three.

Ciara jokingly asked Sydney Sweeney, whose character on HBO often finds herself in complicated love lives, ‘If you start dating your friend’s ex, what happens next?’ This comment was made during an event on April 7th.

Let me tell you, as someone who follows these shows closely, the storyline where Cassie starts dating Nate? It’s a mess! Sydney, the actress who plays Cassie, pretty much summed it up perfectly – she just said, ‘It’s not good,’ and honestly, that’s putting it mildly. It’s definitely a complicated and painful situation unfolding on screen.

Ciara, age 30, directly told her partner what she wanted for their future: “I think we should get married.”

Following a week of backlash, Amanda broke her silence to address angry fans.

In a post on Instagram Stories on April 10th, the 34-year-old apologized to anyone they had disappointed or hurt, particularly those they had contacted directly.

She explained that she’s trying to get back to a more normal life for her own well-being. If people see her out and about or active online, she wants them to understand she’s still deeply affected by what’s happened and hasn’t forgotten it.

Plus, she promised fans will get more answers to their myriad of questions soon.

Amanda confirmed she’ll be at the reunion and will answer everyone’s questions openly and honestly when she’s there.

Almost three weeks after West and Amanda revealed their relationship, Ciara finally spoke directly about the controversy for the first time.

Ciara recently told Glamour magazine that dealing with heartbreak is hard enough privately, but having it play out publicly adds another level of difficulty. She specifically mentioned how painful it was to watch her personal life continue to be portrayed on the tenth season of a show, calling it incredibly disorienting.

The woman, age 30, said she was much closer to Amanda before the scandal came to light. She also mentioned she and West were trying to improve their relationship. Because of that previous closeness, she felt Amanda’s actions were a deeper betrayal than West’s.

Ultimately, people will be people,” Ciara explained. “Regardless of whether or not things were working out with West, you can’t always predict what someone will do. What really surprised me, though, was Amanda. I thought she was a close friend and supporter for a long time, so that’s what’s most shocking to me.”
