Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Celebrate Mother’s Day With NYC Date Night

This Mother’s Day, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky took a break from work work work work work. 

Instead of attending the Met Gala, the couple—who have three young children, RZA, Riot, and Rocki—spent the evening of May 10th having dinner together at Cucina Alba, an Italian restaurant in New York City.

Rihanna celebrated by wearing black pants and a blazer. She wore a lacy bra underneath, and completed the outfit with large sunglasses, pointed snakeskin heels, bold gold necklaces, and a small tan handbag.

A$AP sported a suede trench coat with red leather details. He paired it with black jeans, boots, and small, rectangular sunglasses. He completed the look with a leather purse slung over his shoulder.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky became parents in 2022 and have openly shared their joy since then. Recently, Rihanna showed her love for her children in a very permanent way – with new tattoos.

Rihanna recently got a tattoo designed by her three children. The design is based on their scribbles, and the tattoo artist, Bang Bang, permanently inked it onto the back of her knee.

The original artwork was created with colorful markers, but Rihanna chose to have the tattoo done entirely in black. Although she’s gotten tattoos before, Rihanna playfully admitted she was nervous, saying, “The torture I’ve endured in this shop,” in a video posted by the tattoo parlor.

Despite everything, her relationship with A$AP has been a bright spot. Their friendship blossomed into something romantic during the pandemic, and they’ve created a happy life together since then.

In a 2024 interview, Rihanna explained that she allowed herself to fully trust and follow her partner’s lead. She shared that, unlike past relationships where she constantly tried to make things work, she felt truly seen and accepted for who she is. Knowing someone believes in you and sees you as a worthy parent is an incredible feeling, she said.

She added, “I felt the same about him. I knew he would be a great dad.”

When asked about having children with A$AP, she simply said she wanted as many as fate allowed.
