The highly anticipated sequel to 2023’s blockbuster The Super Mario Bros. Movie arrives in April. The original film was a massive success, earning $1.36 billion worldwide – making it the second highest-grossing movie of the year, only behind Barbie. Notably, it outperformed films like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Fast X, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Given its success, a sequel was almost guaranteed.
If you enjoyed The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and are hoping for sequels, be sure to watch both post-credit scenes! Director Matt Ramos confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that they’re both worth seeing.
Super Mario Galaxy has 2 post credit scenes.
You should definitely stay for both.

What Will The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Bring to the Franchise?

The new Super Mario Bros. movie adds popular characters Rosalina and Yoshi to the adventure. This time, Mario and friends must contend with Bowser and his son, Bowser Jr. With the movie performing so well, a third film seems likely, and the scenes after the credits could hint at what’s to come. Just like the first movie, which featured Yoshi in a post-credit scene to preview his role in this sequel, these extra scenes could set up future storylines.
Fans are hoping for a few different surprises after the credits roll, and one of the most popular requests is the introduction of Wario. This character first appeared as the villain in the 1992 Game Boy game, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, where he served as the final boss. Later, Wario became the star of his own series, Wario Land, and has since become a playable character in many other Mario games.
Princess Daisy is another character who might appear in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, though her inclusion hasn’t been confirmed. She could potentially show up after the credits to hint at her joining Princess Peach and Rosalina in future films. This would be particularly interesting if the next movie is the rumored Luigi’s Mansion, as Daisy is essentially the Luigi equivalent of Peach for Mario.
