Nintendo just dropped a new trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and it finally shows off Yoshi! The trailer also includes some classic villains that weren’t in the first teaser.
I was so excited to finally see Yoshi fully realized in animation after that little tease at the end of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and honestly, he looks exactly as I imagined! What I really appreciate about Illumination’s Mario movies is how they nail that video game aesthetic, but then elevate it with incredible lighting, color, and movement. With Yoshi, the design was never going to be a huge surprise – the real mystery was always what kind of personality they’d give him in this version.
