The new Supergirl series is based on the comic book miniseries Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. It follows Kara Zor-El as she struggles with feeling lost and without purpose. Having survived the destruction of her home planet and sent to Earth to protect her cousin, she feels overshadowed by Superman’s legacy. Just when she’s about to give up, a young alien girl arrives seeking her help with a dangerous mission of revenge. This girl’s world has been destroyed, and she’s determined to find those responsible, even if it means sacrificing everything. Together, Supergirl, a dog, and this heartbroken girl embark on a life-changing journey through space.
Alongside Alcock, the DCU film will feature Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, Jason Momoa as Lobo, and Ferdinand Kingsley as Elias Knoll.
Supergirl arrives on June 26, 2026.
