Supergirl Trailer Release Confirmed With First Footage

The first glimpse of the upcoming Supergirl series has been released. It shows Kara, seemingly relaxed, waiting at a remote bus stop. She’s wearing sunglasses and a trench coat when a spaceship lands nearby, stirring up dust and wind. The teaser confirms the full trailer will be released this week, likely on Thursday, December 11th. This timing is similar to the release of the first Superman trailer last year. It’s expected this trailer will be shown before the Avatar: Fire and Ash trailer, which will also include a preview of Avengers: Doomsday and a new look at Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

The upcoming trailer for Supergirl will not only give us a preview of the movie’s overall style, but will likely be the first time we see Jason Momoa as Lobo – a role he’s been eager to take on. The movie is expected to be one of the biggest releases of 2026, and this will be a thrilling first look.
