Netflix is losing a popular show next month, and it’s a big deal. On December 17th, all 15 seasons of Supernatural will no longer be available on the streaming service. This is similar to when The Office and Friends left Netflix a few years ago. Supernatural, which follows the Winchester brothers as they hunt demons, has been a Netflix favorite for years, even while it was still on TV. Unfortunately, Netflix’s licensing agreement for the show is ending, so it will be removed from the platform next month.
Good news for Supernatural fans: the show will continue to be available for streaming even after it’s removed from Netflix. It’s actually moving to two different streaming services in the next few weeks, giving viewers plenty of ways to watch – especially if they don’t own the seasons themselves.
Where to Stream Supernatural
All fifteen seasons of Supernatural will be available to stream on Prime Video starting December 1st. For a short time, it will be available on both Prime Video and Netflix. After December 17th, Prime Video will have exclusive streaming rights for about five days before another streaming service also begins offering the show.
All fifteen seasons of Supernatural will be available to stream on Peacock starting December 22nd. The show will join other popular fantasy series on the platform, such as Charmed and Grimm, as Peacock continues to expand its selection of TV shows.
It’s currently unclear how long Supernatural will stay on Prime Video or Peacock. While it was available on Netflix for a significant period, we don’t yet know how long these new streaming agreements will last.
Netflix is gradually losing shows from The CW. On December 17th, popular series like Supernatural, Arrow, and The 100 will all be removed from the platform. While Supernatural has found a new streaming home, there’s no current announcement for where Arrow and The 100 will stream next. As existing agreements expire and new ones are made, it’s likely even more CW shows will leave Netflix soon.
If you’re a fan of Supernatural, you’ll still be able to watch the show! It will continue to be available on both Prime Video and Peacock.
