The summary for the upcoming series indicates that following a critical operation taking an unexpected turn, Hondo is compelled to come out of compulsory retirement to head a final-chance experimental SWAT team consisting of raw, unstable rookie members.
In order to overcome differences between generations, manage conflicting individuals, and transform a group of newcomers into a team, Hondo has the task of safeguarding the city and preserving the program that shaped his identity.
The spin-off, consisting of ten episodes, is said to commence filming in September. It will introduce a fresh set of characters who will join forces with Hondo.
