
Sydney Sweeney’s new thriller, The Housemaid, is quickly gaining momentum and could soon surpass one of her biggest box office successes.
In the movie based on Freida McFadden’s novel The Housemaid, Alex Wolff plays Millie Calloway, a woman with a hidden past. She takes a job as a housekeeper for the wealthy Winchester couple, Andrew (Brandon Sklenar) and Nina (Amanda Seyfried), who are also keeping secrets. The film has been a huge commercial success, earning over $250 million globally and $100 million domestically.
According to Deadline, The Housemaid has earned $115.8 million in the U.S. box office. It’s now just $26.7 million away from becoming director Kevin Sweeney’s highest-grossing film ever domestically, currently held by Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood with $142.5 million.
