Takopi’s Original Sin is certainly unique, treading a fine line between dark and whimsical.
In this reimagining of a web comic from Taizan 5, we follow an optimistic extraterrestrial character and a young, melancholic girl aged nine, who is grappling with her own difficulties. Moved by the girl’s struggles, the alien decides to journey through time in order to enhance her life experiences.
In this intriguing production, I find myself frequently drawn to the charismatic figure affectionately known as Takopi – an otherworldly character, resembling an octopus, hailing from a society that consistently exudes contentment.
Upon reaching Earth and meeting a young girl called Shizuka, the harsh realities of her life significantly alter his perspective, prompting him to strive tirelessly to bring joy into her life. However, this pursuit brings about unforeseen turmoil.
