Tatiana Maslany Addresses She-Hulk Return Rumors In Avengers: Doomsday After Firing Reports

It’s been almost four years since She-Hulk debuted in her own TV show as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, becoming one of the new heroes introduced in The Multiverse Saga. Despite this, she hasn’t yet made an appearance in any of the upcoming Marvel movies planned for Phase 6.

Tatiana Maslany recently addressed rumors about potentially reprising her role as She-Hulk in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. When asked directly if she had turned down the opportunity, Maslany remained mysterious, playfully responding, “You’ll never know. I don’t know. Do you know?”

Recently, she addressed the movie Avengers: Doomsday after previously discussing rumors on the Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast. She jokingly clarified that she turned down Disney’s offer to reprise her role as She-Hulk in Deadpool & Wolverine, stating, “I really did just play her, so I said no. That’s the truth.”

Honestly, it was frustrating seeing all these wrong stories floating around. I was genuinely upset when I heard I’d been removed from Deadpool & Wolverine – it really bothered me. And it’s funny, people are calling me ‘woke’ for being a feminist and questioning why they’d cast a woman in that role, and you know what? I am proud of that! I even told them directly that their idea – a big, *Avengersstyle doomsday scenario – just wasn’t for me, and I’m saying it again now. It was honestly a bit embarrassing to even be asked, and I’m glad I stood my ground.

The cast of Avengers: Doomsday will film some extra scenes this spring. Then, the Russo brothers and the actors will get back together to begin filming Avengers: Secret Wars this summer. Currently, Marvel Studios hasn’t said if She-Hulk will be in the final movie of Phase 6.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday opens on December 18.
