Taylor Swift and Este Haim of the band Haim spent a fun evening together at the private club Chez Margaux in New York City on December 9th.

To stay warm in the cold weather, the artist from Life of a Showgirl chose a comfortable winter outfit. She wore a Louis Vuitton Double Face Duffle Coat with toggle buttons and matching Midtown High Boots. She completed the look with sheer tights and a black shoulder bag.

Taylor completed her look with long, flowing blonde hair, her classic cat-eye makeup, and lipstick.

Este chose a stylishly comfortable outfit, wearing a navy wool coat over a black dress and completing the look with gold heels. She carried a Louis Vuitton shoulder bag.

Taylor was seen out enjoying the evening just two days after cheering on her fiancé, Travis Kelce, at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium.

Okay, so the Chiefs didn’t win, but honestly, Taylor had a great support system there at the game! I heard she was hanging out with her close friends Selena Gomez and Lena Dunham in her box – talk about a fun group to share the experience with, even if the outcome wasn’t what they hoped for.

Taylor’s appearance was subtle, lacking the prominent display that marked the beginning of her relationship with Travis last season.

A lot of the relaxed atmosphere surrounding the situation is due to Mark Donovan, the Chiefs’ president. He recently shared his long-standing strategy for handling the attention around Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship.

On December 1st, Mark explained on the Up and Adams Show that he told Travis Kelce they would treat his relationship with Taylor Swift just like any other player or coach’s relationship. He emphasized they wouldn’t try to profit from it or make a big deal out of it publicly.

This is one of the reasons Arrowhead Stadium never showed Taylor Swift on the big screen from the very beginning.

Mark explained that for the past couple of years, whenever exciting plays happened in the stadium – like touchdowns or great catches – the cameras always focused on Taylor, particularly during his rookie season. However, they made a conscious decision not to display Taylor’s image on the stadium’s large screens, choosing to be respectful and avoid that practice.

As for how Taylor’s pals enjoyed their sporty outing? Lena joked she’s in her “sports era.”

Lena Dunham, the creator of Girls, jokingly said on Instagram on December 9th that she’s a New Yorker living in London and a Kansas City fan—and dared anyone to criticize her for it. She then expressed her affection for a friend’s fiancé, tagging him as @killatrav.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship started in July 2023 when Swift’s Eras Tour visited Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Being a big Taylor Swift fan, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his jersey number on it while at her concert. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to deliver it because she was busy getting ready for the show.

Travis explained on his podcast, New Heights, that he was a little upset Taylor Swift didn’t chat with fans before or after her concerts. He understood she needed to protect her voice for the 44 songs she performs, but he was hoping to give her one of the friendship bracelets he’d made.

After jokingly talking about dropping the football – something he’d later call incredibly cool – Travis decided to take a chance and invited the famous singer to come see the Chiefs play at their home stadium, Arrowhead.

He explained on The Pat McAfee Show that he challenged Taylor Swift, saying he’d noticed her performing at Arrowhead Stadium and suggested she come see him perform there too, to see who puts on the better show. He indicated something might happen soon.

Travis had grown a mustache, first showing it off in August at training camp, and that’s how Taylor first met him.

He later recalled that his mustache and number 87 jersey were a memorable look during that time, and he was sporting them when he first met Taylor.

According to a source with inside knowledge, Travis and Taylor began communicating via text and phone calls around the beginning of September, according to TopMob News.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Taylor Swift accepted Travis Kelce’s invitation and joined his mother, Donna Kelce, at Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs play the Chicago Bears. After the game, Taylor and Travis were photographed showing affection for each other at a nearby bar.

Despite stories claiming it was their first time meeting face-to-face, the singer of “Karma” later explained that they had actually known each other for quite a while before that.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show how serious things were getting, Taylor brought a group of her close friends – including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski – to see the Chiefs play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Taylor Swift seems to be getting close to Brittany Mahomes, wife of Travis Kelce’s best friend and teammate, Patrick Mahomes, both at and away from NFL games. This could be another hint that Taylor and Travis are a couple!

The couple publicly showcased their relationship with a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live on October 14th. They continued the fun with the show’s after-party and a romantic dinner at the Waverly Inn.

During his team’s break, Travis flew to Argentina to see Taylor Swift perform as part of her Eras Tour. While there on November 11th in Buenos Aires, he connected with Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, and Taylor even gave him a special mention during the show.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, Taylor Swift reportedly rushed backstage to meet Travis Kelce, where she enthusiastically kissed him.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She told Time magazine that she’s excited to support him doing what he’s passionate about, and they’re both there for each other. They don’t worry about who else is around. It’s the opposite of having to hide their relationship and go to great lengths to keep it secret.

 

The famous singer made Travis’s game on December 17th a family event, bringing her father along to support her boyfriend.

Taylor and Travis rang in the New Year together, and shared a kiss at midnight on January 1st.

I loved seeing Taylor getting even closer with Travis’ family! She spent time with his brother, Jason Kelce, and his wife, Kylie, at the Chiefs game against Buffalo. It was so sweet to see them all together, really showing how she’s becoming part of the family.

After the Chiefs won the AFC Championship and earned a place in the 2024 Super Bowl, Taylor joined Travis on the field to celebrate. They shared a kiss and then told each other ‘I love you’ for the first time.
