Taylor Swift Shares Message to Olympic Athletes in Surprise Video

On Taylor Swift‘s Wi$h Li$t is taking a moment to cheer on Team USA’s Olympic athletes.

Before the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina begin, a singer sent Team USA a surprise video message with words of encouragement.

Oh my gosh, it was Taylor! She posted this video on the Olympics’ account, and it completely melted my heart. She just said, ‘Hi, it’s Taylor,’ and then thanked all the athletes competing. Seriously, just a simple ‘thank you,’ but coming from her? It was everything. I’ve watched it like, a million times. She’s just the sweetest, always supporting everyone!

The singer of “Opalite” went on to say that hearing people’s stories and seeing their dedication, hard work, and passion is truly inspiring. She expressed gratitude for everything they’ve done to achieve their success and for sharing their journey with everyone.

Taylor, dressed in a Team USA sweatshirt by Polo Ralph Lauren, finished her speech by wishing the athletes good luck.

She wished me a fantastic Olympic Games, sending her best wishes for a safe trip and hoping I’d have an unforgettable experience. She said goodbye.

Taylor shared a message on the day her “Opalite” music video was released. The song is from her 2025 album, The Life of a Showgirl, which features Domhnall Gleeson, Jodie-Turner Smith, Greta Lee, Lewis Capaldi, Cillian Murphy, and Graham Norton. She previously appeared with all of them on The Graham Norton Show in October.

The inspiration for her newest music video actually came from a comment Domhnall made – he’d said he wanted to be in one of them.

Taylor recalled being incredibly fortunate with the people she worked with, sharing on social media February 6th that she’d long admired everyone in the group. During a conversation on air, Domhnall Gleeson playfully expressed wanting to appear in one of her music videos, a comment Taylor noted was simply a lighthearted joke stemming from his Irish heritage.

She added that she had a sudden idea during the interview.

Taylor continued to explain where her mind went in that moment.

She explained she’d imagined it would be amazing if everyone who was on the Graham Norton show that night – even Graham himself – could be involved. She described it as a voluntary group project for adults. She was thrilled that everyone from the show agreed to participate and travel back to the 90s for the video.

She said she had an incredible time, far more fun than she expected. She not only met new people but also explored creative ideas and expressed herself through style. Bringing this story and its characters to life was a truly exciting experience for her.
