Taylor Swift Sparkles in Gold at Este Haim’s New Year’s Eve Wedding

Este Haim and Taylor Swift, who are friends, spent New Year’s Eve together, enjoying both dinner and a wedding.

The singer of “The Life of a Showgirl” attended the wedding of Haim’s singer to tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin on December 31st in California.

Taylor looked stunning at Este’s wedding, wearing a glittering gold gown with thin straps, paired with a matching shawl and bag. She finished the look with her hair neatly pinned up. While her fiancé, Travis Kelce, wasn’t with her, photos shared by People magazine showed her arriving at the ceremony with Stevie Nicks, who was also dressed in gold. Pictures from the event quickly spread on social media.

Este, 39, received support from her sisters, Danielle and Alana Haim, who served as her bridesmaids. They wore light blue dresses with gathered fabric at the waist. Alana explained to Vogue that they were fulfilling the “something blue” tradition for Este, who added that they also represented her “something borrowed.”

The bride showcased several outfits designed by Nicolas Ghesquière during her wedding. She began with a sophisticated strapless ballgown and overcoat, then changed into a lace cocktail dress for dinner, which she later shortened for the dancing.

Taylor was thrilled to see Este get married, especially because she’d previously talked about how happy she was to watch her friends fall in love and start their own wedding chapters. She even thought back to a July 4th Instagram post from 2023, featuring Este and Selena Gomez, where she playfully called them and herself “independent girlies” while wishing everyone a happy holiday. Selena also recently got married, tying the knot with Benny Blanco in September.

Taylor Swift jokingly recalled a photo she took with a group of friends, saying, ‘Looking back, it’s crazy!’ She explained that shortly after the picture was taken, several of the women—including herself and Selena Gomez—started dating people who would become their long-term partners. She shared this story on SiriusXM Hits 1 in October, after she began dating Travis Kelce.

Este, who has been close to Taylor Swift and her sisters since 2013, has often spoken about how wonderful it is to have Taylor as a friend.

Este praised her friend, calling her “the best” and a “true genius” during an interview at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. She added that her friend deserves all the recognition she’s received and is also a wonderful person to spend time with.
