Taylor Swift’s concert film about her incredibly popular Eras tour will be available on Disney+ starting Friday, December 12th. The film is broken into six parts.
I’m so excited about this new documentary, ‘The End of an Era’! It’s going to take us behind the scenes of Taylor’s incredible Eras Tour. Honestly, it was more than just a tour – it was a massive global event! She played 149 shows in 51 cities over almost two years, from March 2023 to December 2024, and it completely broke all the records, earning over $2 billion in ticket sales. I can’t wait to see it!
I’m so excited! Taylor just announced a new docu-series on social media, and it’s connected to her latest album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ which is all about what her life was like behind the scenes during the Eras Tour. But that’s not all – she’s also dropping a concert film at the same time! It was filmed at the very last show of the Eras Tour in Vancouver, so I can’t wait to see that!
She wrote that they all felt like a significant chapter in their lives was ending. They wanted to cherish the memories of the tour, so they agreed to let filmmakers document it – everything from the behind-the-scenes moments to the very last performance.
The final concert of The Eras Tour, including the complete performance of songs from ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ plus the first two episodes of a six-part behind-the-scenes documentary called ‘The End of an Era,’ will be available to stream on Disney+ starting December 12th.
A short teaser trailer was also unveiled alongside the announcement, which you can watch below:
This documentary series offers a personal look at Taylor Swift’s life during her record-breaking tour. It features interviews with those closest to her – including fellow musicians like Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch – and reveals the hard work and dedication that went into making the tour a success.
The first two episodes will be available to stream on December 12th, and then two more episodes will be released each week following that date.
