Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Bring Love Story to London for Date Night

NFL player Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift seemed perfectly comfortable and stylish as they enjoyed dinner together at Gymkhana, an Indian restaurant in London, on May 7th.

Taylor, 36, and Travis, also 36, stepped out for date night looking stylish. Taylor wore a sophisticated black Zimmermann midi dress with a floral bodice, which she paired with a deep blue blazer, a seafoam green JW Anderson bag, and black block heels. Travis kept it classic in a dark gray blue Louis Vuitton suit and a simple black t-shirt.

The fashionable couple, who got engaged in August 2025, had dinner with Rina Yang, a British cinematographer who previously worked with Taylor on the music videos for “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled.” After dinner, Travis held Taylor’s hand as they walked to the car, showing off her beautiful engagement ring.

Before a planned date night at a highly-rated restaurant, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end explained that his girlfriend, a singer, has encouraged him to be more adventurous with his food choices.

On the May 6th episode of his podcast, New Heights, Travis jokingly said he’s been trying to impress her by stepping outside his comfort zone – specifically, by trying new foods.

Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason, and sister-in-law, Kylie, have both noticed a significant difference in what he’s been eating.

Jason commented that Taylor seems to have broadened Kylie’s taste in food, and Kylie confirmed that Travis is now more willing to try new things.

Travis had mentioned before that Taylor introduced him to and helped him discover Indian food.

He jokingly admitted he’s still a bit of a picky eater during an October 2024 episode of the New Heights podcast, but added that he’s also willing to let loose and have fun.

Even though he’d just won the Super Bowl, the athlete admitted he was still having trouble with food textures, jokingly saying he could manage a mild curry.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship started in July 2023 when Swift’s Eras Tour came to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Being a big Taylor Swift fan, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his jersey number on it while at her concert. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to deliver it because she was busy getting ready for the show.

Travis explained on his podcast, New Heights, that he was a little upset because Taylor doesn’t speak before or after her concerts to protect her voice for the 44 songs she performs. He had made her friendship bracelets and was hoping to give her one, but didn’t get the chance.

After jokingly talking about dropping the football – something he’d later call incredibly cool – Travis decided to take a chance and invited the famous singer to come watch the Chiefs play at their home stadium, Arrowhead.

He explained on The Pat McAfee Show that he challenged Taylor Swift, saying he’d seen her perform at Arrowhead Stadium and suggested she come see him perform there too, to see who puts on a better show. He indicated something might happen soon.

Travis had grown a mustache, first showing it off in August during football training camp, and that’s how Taylor first met him.

He later recalled that his mustache and number 87 jersey were memorable during that time, and he was wearing them when he first met Taylor.

According to a source with inside knowledge, Travis and Taylor began communicating by text and phone calls around the beginning of September, as reported by TopMob News.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Taylor accepted Travis Kelce’s invitation and went to Arrowhead Stadium to see him and the Kansas City Chiefs play the Chicago Bears, where she sat with his mom, Donna Kelce. After the game, Taylor and Travis were photographed showing affection for each other at a nearby bar.

Despite rumors that they met for the first time in person, the singer of “Karma” explained that they had actually known each other for quite a while before that.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show how serious things were getting, Taylor brought a group of her friends – including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski – to see the Chiefs play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Taylor Swift seems to be getting close to Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Travis Kelce’s best friend and teammate, Patrick Mahomes, both at and away from NFL games. This could be another indication that she and Travis are a couple.

Okay, so this couple really made a splash in New York City! They weren’t just keeping their romance private – they actually surprised everyone with an appearance on Saturday Night Live recently. It wasn’t a quick in-and-out either; they hit up the after-party and even had a cozy date night at the Waverly Inn. Talk about a whirlwind romance and a full-on New York experience!

Okay, so during Taylor’s break from touring, she went to Argentina, and guess who showed up?! Travis! I nearly lost it when I found out he flew all the way there to support her during the South American leg of the Eras Tour. Apparently, he totally hit it off with Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift – they were bonding at the Buenos Aires show on November 11th! But the BEST part? Taylor actually gave him a shoutout from the stage! Seriously, it was the sweetest thing ever, and I’m living for this relationship!

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Oh my gosh, after the show, I saw Taylor literally run to Travis backstage! It was so sweet – she gave him the most passionate kiss right there. It was such a cute moment, I couldn’t believe my eyes!

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She told Time magazine that she’s excited to support him by watching him pursue his passion, and they’re both there for each other, not worrying about who else is around. She contrasted this with the lengths people sometimes go to in order to keep a relationship secret.

 

Oh my gosh, you guys, she was there! At Travis’ game on December 17th, and it was so cute! She didn’t just come alone, she brought her dad to support him! Like, a full-on family outing to watch my man play! I’m seriously melting just thinking about it. It’s just… everything!

Taylor and Travis rang in the New Year together, and shared a kiss at midnight on January 1st.

Taylor continued getting to know Travis’ family and spent time with his brother, Jason Kelce, and sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills.

After the Chiefs won the AFC Championship and earned a place in the 2024 Super Bowl, Taylor joined Travis on the field to celebrate. They shared a kiss and told each other ‘I love you’.

“Tay, I’m gonna enjoy with the guys,” he told her. “I love you—so much it’s not funny.”
