Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Enjoy Broadway Date Night at Oh, Mary!

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, both age 36, had a memorable night out on Broadway June 13th. They attended a performance of the Tony Award-winning play Oh, Mary!, featuring Maya Rudolph as Mary Todd Lincoln.

After the show, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce took photos backstage with Rudolph and the rest of the cast – including Cheyenne Jackson, Martin Landry, Bianca Leigh, and Phillip James Brannon – plus director Sam Pinkleton.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kept their outing relaxed, with Swift wearing a purple velvet dress and Kelce sporting a Hawaiian shirt. Afterwards, they had dinner at The Eighty Six steakhouse, a familiar spot for Swift in the West Village.

Taylor Swift recently enjoyed a Mother’s Day meal at the restaurant with her whole family, including her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and her brother, Austin, on May 11th.

Despite being busy with wedding planning – details they’ve kept private since Kelce proposed in August 2025 – Swift and Kelce still manage to enjoy quiet nights in. When they announced their engagement, the singer playfully shared the news on Instagram, saying, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

The couple is planning a large and elaborate wedding celebration. Taylor Swift has mentioned she intends to invite more than just her closest friends, and while most of the specifics are still secret, it’s clear the event will be massive.

She mentioned on The Graham Norton Show last October that wedding planning should be enjoyable, explaining that stress usually comes from having a limited guest list and worrying about who to invite.

Before Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tie the knot, let’s revisit some of their most adorable memories as a couple.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce first connected in July 2023 when Swift’s Eras Tour came to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Being a big fan of Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wanted to give her a personalized friendship bracelet featuring his jersey number while at her concert. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to get it to her because she was busy preparing for the show.

Travis explained on his July 26th podcast, New Heights, that he understood why Taylor Swift doesn’t speak much before or after her concerts – she needs to protect her voice for singing all 44 songs. Still, he was a little upset he didn’t get the chance to give her one of the friendship bracelets he made.

After jokingly talking about dropping the football – something he’d later call incredibly cool – Travis decided to take a chance and invited the famous singer to come to a Kansas City Chiefs game.

He explained on The Pat McAfee Show that he challenged Taylor Swift, saying he’d noticed her performing at Arrowhead Stadium and suggested she come see him perform there too, to see who gets a bigger reaction from the crowd. He added that they’ll see if anything comes of it soon.

Travis had grown a mustache, first showing it off in August during football training camp, and that’s how Taylor first met him.

He recalled that his mustache and number 87 jersey were quite memorable during that time, explaining he was wearing them when he first met Taylor.

According to a source at TopMob News, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift began communicating—mostly through texts and occasional phone calls—around the beginning of September.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Taylor accepted an invitation from Travis and met his mother, Donna Kelce, at Arrowhead Stadium to see him and the Kansas City Chiefs play against the Chicago Bears. Later, they were photographed showing affection for each other at a nearby bar.

Despite rumors that they met for the first time in person, the singer of “Karma” explained that they had actually spent a considerable amount of time getting to know each other before that meeting.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show how close they were getting, Taylor attended the Kansas City Chiefs game against the New York Jets with a group of her friends, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski. They watched the game together at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Taylor Swift seems to be getting close to Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Travis Kelce’s best friend and teammate Patrick Mahomes, both at and away from football games. This could indicate a serious relationship between Taylor and Travis.

The couple showcased their relationship on television with a surprise appearance on the October 14th episode of Saturday Night Live. They continued their New York outing with the show’s after-party and a romantic dinner at the Waverly Inn.

During the team’s break, Travis flew to Argentina to see Taylor Swift perform on her Eras Tour. At the November 11th show in Buenos Aires, he connected with Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, and Taylor even gave him a shout-out during the concert.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what I just saw! After the show, Taylor literally ran to Travis backstage – like, full-on sprinted! – and then she kissed him! It was so passionate, I almost couldn’t breathe. Seriously, it was the cutest, most amazing thing ever, and I’m still reeling!

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She told Time magazine that she’s excited to support him doing what he’s passionate about, and they’re both there for each other, not worrying about who else is around. This is the opposite of having to hide their relationship and go to great lengths to keep it a secret.

 

The famous singer made Travis’ game on December 17th a family event, bringing her father along to support her boyfriend.

Taylor and Travis rang in the new year together, and shared a sweet kiss at midnight on January 1st.

Taylor continued getting to know Travis’ family and spent time with his brother, Jason Kelce, and sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills.

As a huge fan, it was amazing to see Taylor rush onto the field to celebrate with Travis when the Chiefs won the AFC Championship! It officially sent them to the Super Bowl, and it was such a sweet moment – they shared a kiss and then actually said ‘I love you’ to each other! It felt like a really special, genuine connection.

“Tay, I’m gonna enjoy with the guys,” he told her. “I love you—so much it’s not funny.”

Taylor Swift attended Travis Kelce’s first game of the 2024-25 NFL season and seemed to recreate a sweet moment they shared back in October 2023. A photo capturing the scene was posted by Chariah Gordon, who was there with her boyfriend, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

They went to the wedding of Karen Elson, a well-known model, and Lee Foster, who owns Electric Lady Studios, in New York City.

The next day, the pair attended the men’s singles final match at the U.S. Open.

The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.
