Teaser Reveals A New Persona Game, But It’s Not What Anyone Expected

The Persona series will mark its 30th anniversary in 2026, having first launched on September 20th, 1996. The popular JRPG franchise has become a favorite among gamers. Atlus, the game’s developer, has launched a new website where fans can find updates beginning January 8th. Even before the first official announcement, a hint of a new Persona game for 2026 may have appeared – surprisingly, not from Atlus themselves, but from a possible collaboration partner.

The team behind the popular Fitness Boxing series has strongly hinted at a new collaboration game. Fitness Boxing has featured special collaborations before, like Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku, and these are usually released as separate games rather than updates to existing titles. Now, it appears the next collaboration could be with the Persona series.

Persona Might Be Getting Its Own Fitness Boxing Spin-Off in 2026

I saw this post online, and it was originally in Japanese, but basically someone asked what they were preparing for. The reply was hilarious – they said they’re working on a training plan that’s a little different than normal, because stamina is super important for being a Phantom Thief! The image came from Atlus, Sega, and Imagineer – you know, the companies behind Persona and Fitness Boxing.

While not officially confirmed, recent hints suggest a possible collaboration between Fitness Boxing and Persona. It could be an update to the existing Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer, but considering past collaborations, a completely new game featuring Persona characters seems more probable.

Is this the update Atlus hinted at for January 8th? It’s possible this collaboration will be revealed with the first update to their 30th anniversary website. However, while fans of both Fitness Boxing and Atlus’s JRPGs are interested, it’s not the news many are waiting for. With Persona 5 having been out for a while and already receiving re-releases and spin-offs, many Persona fans are really hoping to hear about Persona 6 this year.

It’s still early in 2026, so even if the initial reveal is a Personathemed Fitness Boxing* game, there’s likely more to come. Keep an eye on the anniversary website for updates on January 8th, and watch for future announcements about this exciting collaboration.
