Kailyn Lowry wants to make it make cents.
The Teen Mom 2 star shared that she’s spent more than $1 million fighting for custody of her seven children, who have four different fathers.
Kailyn admitted her relationships with her children’s fathers are strained. In a clip from her Patreon series, Kail Unfiltered, shared on TikTok on February 8th, she said she never planned to separate from their fathers.
The 33-year-old added, “I, unfortunately, was the one to leave all four of them.”
Kailyn, a mother to six children – 16-year-old Elliott (with Jo Rivera), 12-year-old Lincoln (with Javi Marroquin), 8-year-old Lux and 5-year-old Creed (with Chris Lopez), 3-year-old Rio, and 2-year-old twins Valley and Verse (with Elijah Scott) – shared that while she isn’t a legal professional, she hopes others can benefit from what she’s learned through her own experiences.
As for why she decided to share her experiences now?
Kailyn shared that she finally feels ready to talk about her experiences. She also feels supported by a team who are helping her express everything she’s been through.
The reality star explained that child custody battles leave everyone feeling defeated. She emphasized that courts focus on major issues and don’t concern themselves with trivial details like haircuts – they simply don’t care about those things.

Kailyn is very aware of the public’s interest in her relationships, particularly since her boyfriend of under a year, Isaac “Ike” Knighton, moved in with her family.
She explained that she definitely considered who he was as a person before letting him meet her children. It wasn’t a casual encounter, like meeting someone on a dating app. While she wasn’t implying that everyone on apps like Tinder is unsafe, she made a point of getting to know him before introducing him to her family.
She explained that she’d always felt lonely, even when she was in a relationship. But with him, it was different – she finally felt like she was with someone who truly understood her, like her best friend.

Kailyn Lowry became a mom at 17 when she and her high school boyfriend, Jo Rivera, had their first son, Isaac Elliott Rivera, on January 18, 2010.
Despite divorcing a year after the wedding, Kailyn and her ex-husband, Jo, now share a friendly co-parenting relationship. Kailyn shared on X (formerly Twitter) after attending Jo and his wife, Vee Rivera’s, wedding in 2018, that she’s grateful for Vee as a stepmother and that they’ve both matured a lot since they were younger.
She shared a touching tribute to her oldest son on his 13th birthday, writing that they’ve grown up together, but he sometimes seems more mature than she is. She described him as a kind, talented, and witty young man – a devoted Olivia Rodrigo fan who also loves music and basketball – and praised his thoughtful nature.
She explained that what she admired most about him was his willingness to question conventional thinking. His curiosity and open-mindedness allowed him to develop his own unique perspectives and beliefs.
In June 2025, Elliott shared on his mother’s podcast, Barely Famous, that he prefers to be called by his middle name and also came out as gay. Kailyn praised him, saying he’s accepting of others and doesn’t judge people based on expectations. She believes more people should be like him.

Lincoln Marroquin was born on November 16, 2013, about a year after his father, Javi Marroquin, married his mother, who was then a star on Teen Mom 2.
Kailyn described the boy as a big sports fan on her 2022 podcast, Barely Famous. He spends a lot of time playing basketball and football, and even had an NBA-themed 10th birthday party celebrating his favorite player, Allen Iverson.
It’s no surprise Lincoln helped name his youngest brother. Kailyn shared in a February 2024 TikTok that the name “Verse” came from Allen Iverson, a basketball player Lincoln greatly admires, and therefore would have been a natural suggestion.
She affectionately described her brother Lincoln as dedicated, intelligent, good-looking, and simply the best, sharing these sentiments in a 2022 birthday post.

Lux Russell Lowry enjoys a diverse range of interests, including football, wrestling, solving Rubik’s Cubes, and the music of Michael Jackson.
Kailyn’s first child, Lux, was born on August 5, 2017, with her ex-boyfriend, Chris Lopez. While they continued a complicated relationship for a while, Kailyn shared with TopMob News in 2020 that they weren’t currently speaking. She expressed hope that they could improve their communication eventually, especially for the sake of their children, and wished for a positive outcome, whatever that may be, but didn’t have specific expectations.
Lux is a whirlwind! Kailyn shared that from the moment he was born, he’s been incredibly energetic and keeps everyone on their feet. She celebrated his sixth birthday with a WWE-themed party, expressing how much she loves her energetic little boy.

Before her son, Creed Romello Lowry-Lopez, was born on July 30, 2020, Kailyn revealed she faced a difficult decision. In an interview with TopMob News shortly after his birth, she explained she kept the pregnancy a secret because she wasn’t sure if she would keep the baby. She described that time as emotionally challenging and admitted she struggled a lot.
Despite a difficult relationship with Creed’s father, Chris, seeing his ultrasound picture instantly made up her mind.
Kailyn shared with TopMob that, just like her other children, she immediately fell in love with the new baby. All three of her older kids were eager to hold him and shower him with affection.
She celebrated her son Creed’s third birthday with a WWE-themed party alongside his twin, Lux, listing his many nicknames – Creed, Romello, Mello, Romey, Rome, Biggie, and Bigs. She explained she couldn’t put her immense love for him into words and would express it privately instead.

Kailyn chose to keep the news about her fifth son, Rio, private for a while after he was born in November 2022 because she wanted to share his story when and how she felt comfortable, she told People magazine.
Despite a difficult start to life – he needed care in the NICU because of breathing problems and fluid in his lungs – she says he’s been a wonderful baby.
New dad Elijah Scott is also earning praise. His ex-fiancée shared that he’s been a different kind of partner than her other children’s fathers. While he works a physically demanding job – pouring concrete – he’s also deeply committed to family. She emphasized his strong connection to both his own family and theirs, adding that they were a really good match and he’s been a great partner.
Kailyn says becoming a mom to Rio likely motivated her to embrace a more lively lifestyle. She explained that while having four children was challenging, her fourth child had a particularly strong personality. She then added that her fifth child is incredibly easygoing, and if all her children were like him, she’d happily have even more.
Cut to…

In late October 2023, Kailyn welcomed her second and third children, twin daughters named Verse and Valley, with her partner Elijah, marking a new chapter as a mother of girls.
Valley, named after the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania where Kailyn spent her childhood, needed a bit more time in the NICU than her brother because she was having trouble with feeding.
Kailyn shared on her January 2024 podcast, Barely Famous, that she’d never encountered a baby who didn’t wake for feedings or show any signs of being hungry. Her daughter would simply sleep through scheduled feeding times, never indicating she wanted to eat, and wouldn’t even take a bottle when offered.
Even though Kailyn is concerned about how the twins’ relationship will be after being apart for so long—she hopes they can reconnect like they used to—she’s overjoyed to have her whole family together at last.
She shared her joy, saying she felt incredibly grateful and happy. This good news meant they were able to expand their home, and she felt truly blessed by her healthy babies.
