Kailyn Lowry and Elijah Scott are reflecting on their relationship.
After ending their engagement several months ago, the former star of Teen Mom 2 and her partner have explained why they decided to split. The couple share three children: a son named Rio, age 3, and two-year-old twins, Verse and Valley.
In a preview of an interview shared on Kailyn’s Patreon, Elijah stated, “I’ve always prioritized you and the kids.” He then added, “I didn’t feel like that effort was reciprocated.” The full conversation, titled Sitting Down With Elijah, is available for Patreon subscribers.
Later in the video, Kailyn, 34, became emotional and said she didn’t understand why she hadn’t felt supported.
And it seems Elijah felt the same way throughout their relationship, adding, “I did feel alone.”
Before Kailyn and Elijah split in 2025, they denied rumors of infidelity. In a recent clip, Kailyn alluded to a past relationship where cheating occurred, explaining that the experience helped her gain self-awareness. She didn’t name the ex, but made it clear his actions were a turning point for her.
Cheating allegations aside, the reality star admitted that she’s still reeling from the breakup.
The teaser featured the message, “Life is fragile.” It went on to say that everything can change quickly and it’s important to address difficult experiences. The message also acknowledged that healing isn’t always a straight path and that life isn’t always just.

She explained in the video that people often blame her for what happened, saying they think she brought it on herself and therefore doesn’t deserve sympathy.
Kailyn, who is also a mother to 16-year-old Elliott (with Jo Rivera), 12-year-old Lincoln (with Javi Marroquin), and sons Lux, 8, and Creed, 5 (with Chris Lopez), quietly revealed months ago that she and Elijah had ended their engagement after less than a year together.
Kailyn explained to Lala Kent on her podcast, ‘Give them Lala,’ that she’s received criticism for leaving her children’s fathers. She said she left those relationships because she refuses to tolerate mistreatment.
My family is a bit unusual because my children have four fathers. Interestingly, I actually live next door to one of them.

When the Vanderpump Rules star asked who from her past she was living near, she replied with just one name: Elijah.
The MTV personality appears to be in a new relationship with Isaac “Ike” Knighton. She recently shared that he’s moved in with her family after dating for less than a year.
She explained on her Patreon in January that she definitely considered who he was as a person before letting him meet her children. It wasn’t a casual encounter, like meeting someone on a dating app. While she wasn’t implying anyone on Tinder is unsafe, she made sure she knew him well before introducing him to her kids.
She explained that she’d always felt lonely, even when she was in a relationship. But with him, it was different – she finally felt like she was with her best friend.

Kailyn Lowry became a mom at 17 when she and her high school boyfriend, Jo Rivera, had their first son, Isaac Elliott Rivera, on January 18, 2010.
Despite divorcing after a year, Kailyn and her ex-husband, Jo, now have a good co-parenting relationship. Kailyn shared on X (formerly Twitter) after attending Jo and his wife, Vee Rivera’s, wedding in 2018, that she couldn’t ask for a better stepmother for their children.
On his 13th birthday, she shared on Instagram how she’s watched her oldest son grow up alongside her, but feels he’s sometimes even more mature than she is. She described him as a kind, clever, and funny person – a devoted Olivia Rodrigo fan who also loves music and basketball – and praised his thoughtful nature.
She explained that what she admired most about him was his willingness to question conventional thinking. His curiosity and open-mindedness allowed him to develop his own unique perspectives.
In June 2025, Elliott shared on his mother’s podcast, Barely Famous, that he prefers to be called by his middle name and also came out as gay. Kailyn praised him, saying he’s accepting of others as they are, rather than how society expects them to be, and that more people should follow his example.

Lincoln Marroquin became part of the family on November 16, 2013, about a year after his father, Javi Marroquin, married the star of Teen Mom 2.
Kailyn described the boy as a big sports fan on her 2022 podcast, Barely Famous. He spends a lot of time playing basketball and football, and for his 10th birthday, he had a party themed around his favorite NBA player, Allen Iverson.
It’s no surprise Lincoln helped name his youngest brother. Kailyn shared in a February 2024 TikTok that the name “Verse” came from Allen Iverson, a basketball player Lincoln admires. Being a big basketball fan, Iverson was naturally on his list of potential names.
She described her brother Lincoln as wonderful, writing in a 2022 birthday post that he’s dedicated, intelligent, good-looking, and simply the best brother anyone could ask for.

I’ve been following Lux Russell Lowry for a while now, and it’s clear they’re a person of diverse passions! They’re a huge fan of football and wrestling, but it’s not just sports – they’re also incredibly skilled with a Rubik’s Cube, and, like so many of us, absolutely adore Michael Jackson. It’s a really interesting mix of interests!
Kailyn’s first child, Lux, was born on August 5, 2017, with her ex-boyfriend, Chris Lopez. Although they continued a complicated relationship for a while, she told TopMob News in 2020 that they weren’t currently speaking. While she hopes things improve eventually, she doesn’t have strong expectations and wishes for a positive outcome for their children, whatever that may be.
Lux is a remarkably quick child! Kailyn shared that from the moment he was born, he’s been full of energy and keeps everyone active. She celebrated his sixth birthday with a WWE-themed party, expressing her immense love for her energetic ‘little leo baby’.

Before her son, Creed Romello Lowry-Lopez, was born on July 30, 2020, Kailyn revealed she faced a difficult decision. She told TopMob News that she kept her pregnancy a secret because she was unsure if she would choose to have the baby. She described it as a very challenging and emotionally difficult time.
Despite a difficult relationship with Creed’s father, Chris, seeing his ultrasound picture immediately made up her mind.
Kailyn shared with TopMob that, like her other children, she instantly fell in love with the new baby. All three of her older kids were eager to hold him and shower him with affection.
She listed all his nicknames – Creed, Romello, Mello, Romey, Rome, Biggie, and Bigs – on his third birthday, which he celebrated with his sister, Lux. She explained she couldn’t put her feelings into words, and would share them privately instead.

Kailyn chose to keep the birth of her fifth son, Rio, private for a while after he was born in November 2022 because she wanted to share his story when and how she felt comfortable, she told People magazine.
Despite a difficult start to life – he needed to spend time in the NICU due to breathing problems and fluid in his lungs – she says he’s been a wonderful baby.
New dad Elijah Scott is also earning praise. His ex-fiancée shared that he’s been a unique partner, noting the contrast between his physically demanding job – he works with concrete – and his strong commitment to family. She emphasized his close ties to both his own family and theirs, describing him as a great partner and a good match.
Kailyn says having Rio helped her adjust to life with more kids and keep things lively. She explained that surprisingly, going from four to five children was more challenging, mostly because her fourth child has a very strong personality. She loves her fifth child, describing him as an exceptionally easy baby, and jokingly said if all her children were that easy, she’d have even more!
Cut to…

In late October 2023, Kailyn welcomed her second and third children, Verse and Valley, with Elijah, marking a new chapter as a mother of two and three.
Valley, named after the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania where Kailyn spent her childhood, needed a bit more time in the NICU than her brother because she was having trouble with feeding.
As a longtime follower of Kailyn, I was really struck by something she shared recently on Barely Famous. She explained that she’d never experienced anything like what happened with her baby – she just wouldn’t wake up to eat, and never showed any signs of being hungry. It was so unusual; the baby would sleep right through scheduled feedings and wouldn’t even take a bottle when Kailyn tried to offer it. It sounded incredibly worrying and unlike anything she’d dealt with before.
Even though Kailyn is concerned about how the twins will reconnect after being apart for so long—she hopes to rebuild their close connection—she’s overjoyed that her family is together at last.
She expressed immense joy and contentment, saying she felt grateful, fulfilled, and truly happy. This good fortune has allowed them to expand their home, and she feels incredibly blessed by her healthy babies.
