Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Brings Back Forgotten Fan-Favorite Characters for Major Event

As a devoted fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I’m thrilled to hear that some of my long-missed heroes are making a comeback! These turtle sensations started off in the comic book world and swiftly took over our big and small screens, not to mention an array of toys and video games. The TMNT community is vast and passionate, with each fan having their own favorite characters. Many of these beloved figures have graced the pages of IDW Publishing’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics, and the upcoming volume promises a thrilling event that will bring together characters from all corners of the TMNT Universe.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve learned about an exciting new venture: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle Nexus. Starting in November, our beloved heroes will embark on a five-week journey, entering a multidimensional tournament! This exhilarating event is the brainchild of some talented TMNT creators, including Tom Waltz, Paul Allor, Sophie Campbell, Caleb Goellner, and Erik Burnham, who are responsible for the writing. The artwork is in the capable hands of the Escorza brothers, Ben Bishop, Vitor Cafaggi, Omar Francia, and Hendry Prasetya.


The gathering showcases popular characters across different versions of the brand, such as Shredder from Mirage Studios, Metalhead from the 2012 animated series, a resurrected Slash, and the debut of Ninjara in IDW comics. This is presumably the sensational TMNT event that IDW Editor-in-Chief Bobby Curnow hinted at to ComicBook way back in June.
